So today in clinic we had a little helper 💙 Meet Loki our Bernese Mountain dog puppy. Over the next few weeks we have reduced clinic times while we settle him in, but you can still phone and book both aesthetic and private GP appointments 😌

Dr Kieron and myself have been a bit quiet on social media lately as we have been organising the inaugural Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival. Well what a weekend 🎩🎩🎩 All the hard work, sleepless nights, endless worrying over the smallest of details. We did it and it was a huge success 🏆 We are back in clinic next week so see you all then 😉

As many of you know we organise an annual charity event raising money for Aspire Ryde. The Island Highland Gathering is always very popular (men in kilts!), so if you are interested in coming along then click the link 👉🏻

We have had quite a few new patients recently so I thought I’d share a bit about our Medical Director.

Dr Kieron Cooney is a distinguished GP with a Cambridge Medical Degree 🎓, holding a Masters in Medical Aesthetics. As a full member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine and a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners, his expertise shines through. Dr Cooney is a dedicated trainer for new GPs and an examiner for the College of GPs. Alongside his medical commitments as a senior partner in St. Helens medical centre, he is also a talented musician 🎶🎵, having performed with the renowned band Wight Hot Pipes at prestigious venues like Glastonbury, Switzerland, and New York.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr Cooney has raised thousands of pounds for local island charities and can often be seen (heard 🙉😂!) piping at various events across the island including piping on Tennyson Downs for Walk the Wight. He finds great joy in walking his Bengal cats and sharing life's adventures with his wife Vicky, who is an advanced nurse practitioner, both indulging in the captivating world of steampunk 🎩

Here’s a funny video of Dr Cooney winning a steampunk tea pot race last weekend dressed as a white rabbit. This was at Tutbury castle which was hosting an Alice in Wonderland themed fantasy steampunk weekend. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did watching him 😂

Great night modelling (me not Dr Kieron!) up-cycled jackets by Donna Jones Mbe raising over £900 for the local community’s Pop Up Soup Kitchen. Fabulous atmosphere and even the rain ☔️ didn’t dampen our enthusiasm 🤩 Well done everyone 💚
