**HALLOWEEN 2023**

Fed up with the same old Halloween? Bored of zombies, pig heads, blood and gore? Then join us on the ISLE OF WIGHT GHOST EXPERIENCE. Retelling true island history, visiting the actual sites of ghostly sightings and unlocking the mysteries to our beautiful isle. Join us for scares and surprises of a very different nature. With events to suit all tastes and budgets bring the family for a Halloween to remember.

Come one and all for Halloween 2023 with the Isle of Wight Ghost Experience. With a varied program across 2 weeks combining a mix of story evenings, meals and walks what's not to love about bringing the family on an island adventure.

Please note:
Early Spook tickets are £15 held till the end of September. Prices will be increased after this. No pay on the night tickets will be available. Events that combine other elements (meals, talks etc.) may be subject to varying prices.
Booking early is essential as all events have capped amounts of tickets. All tickets are non-refundable and for most events there is one standard ticket price for all.

Pubs with the BEST Play Areas 🛝

Looking for some good pub food and something to keep the kids occupied? 👀 These pubs have more than just a swing set to burn off some energy 🥵

I was lucky enough to try out all of these pub play areas as a kid and can give them all the seal of approval 👍🏼 Here are some of the highlights:

The Horse & Groom has a Bouncy Castle, Football, Crazy Golf, Noughts and Crosses, Tyre Trails and loads more ⚽️

The Fighting C***s has a Island largest jumping pillow 🤸‍♂️ as well as an inflatable Go-Kart track and Bouncy Castles if the weather is good 🌞

The Chequers Inn have a hugeee adventure playground and even a games area in the barn with a pool table and arcade games 🕹️

If it’s a rainy day 🌧️ head to The Eight Bells, The Caulkheads or The Bugle Inn as these places have you covered with great indoor soft plays 🧸

Life isn’t about money, it’s about moments ❤️ That’s why i’ve put together a list of a range of activities on the Island which are completely free! Some places may appreciate a donation, but this is at your discretion.

Of course the choices don’t end at this list, but it’s a good start 👍🏼 These activities are available all year round to enjoy 🏖️ but keep an eye out for local events which are free to attend throughout the year!

I just had to post this, since the ghostly heritage of the Island is one of the reasons I love it so much and bought a caravan there

Well we're not known as 'Ghost Island' for nothing...🤷‍♀️

Here are five spooky stories from the Isle of Fright:

😱 Ventnor Botanic Garden used to be the location of the Old Royal National Hospital, treating patients for tuberculosis. There have been sightings of old patients and phantom nurses walking the gardens. There are also remnants of the hospital remaining, including a Victorian refuse tunnel leading from the gardens to the edge of the cliff!

👻 There are many spooky tales surrounding St Catherine's Lighthouse, from ghost animal sightings to unexplained footsteps and vanishing items.

🏡 An old manor house at Knighton Gorges has long been demolished, leaving only gateposts behind. However, a ghostly apparition of the manor is thought to appear every New Year’s Eve at midnight.

🚂 Newport's Island Line Train stopped its service over 40 years ago, however years since, an old locomotive pulling three carriages has been reportedly sighted heading towards Cowes!

🏚 Tales of ghostly monks, phantom carriages, strange lights and changes of temperature have been associated to Appuldurcombe House over the years. The house even featured on the television series, 'Most Haunted' back in 2005!
