Boded Celts 6 Pentraeth 2. Leigh⚽Jake⚽. Tough result to take today. With a severely depleted squad due to injuries we were unable to make any subs and each of the players on field worked really hard for the whole game. After a good start we conceded three goals quickly which put us on the back foot, and we found it difficult to get back on top. We sustained some heavy pressure towards the end of the second half and we dealt with it well. Well done to James and Leigh for switching positions and Matthew playing out of his usual position. There was a lot of pressure in our defence today and given the circumstance we were in, you did really well. Player of the match today goes to Tom. He put a really good shift in, and by getting the ball upfield through some clever passes it meant we could go on the attack. Let regroup in training on Tuesday and go give our best game in Llanerchymedd next week. 👍💪

Treaddur Bay 1 Pentraeth 4. Jake ⚽⚽ Jaco ⚽ O/G ⚽ Great win today boys. 1-1 at half time after we went ahead in the game, but the team got well on top in the second half, putting some great passing moves together on a difficult pitch. Trearddur Bay improving as a team and it was going to need some guts and hard work to pull ahead, which the team did brilliantly. Great play from all over the pitch and special mention to Kyle, Tom and Jake for their performances today, but player of the match for a great performance goes to Jaco who did everything Carwyn and me asked for up top and winning the ball high, giving us chances to score. Well done team😃👍

It's been pretty cold here over the past few days, and we've been for a little walk over to Cwm Idwal, which is in Dyffryn Ogwen, the other side of Bethesda (on the mainland!). It's a stunning walk and Llyn Idwal is surrounded by some of Eryri'r most spectacular mountains - the Glyderau, the Garn, and the Carneddau at the other side of the valley. Congratulations to Paul Baines and Jeremy Entwistle, who successfully passed their Tier 1 All-weather lifeboat pass-outs on Sunday, 15/12/2024.

Tier one pass-outs are the culmination of months of hard work in preparation and training from a crew member who first joined the crew to become competent in the essential functions of Lifeboating skills. The four-hour exercise involved all aspects of lifeboat crew operations, such as launch and recovery, anchoring, towing, locating and assisting casualties, and demonstrating an understanding of some of the RNLI's policies and procedures. The crew must demonstrate a high level of competence and confidence throughout.

During the pass-outs, the crew had to act independently at times as well as be part of the close-knit team we are during certain evolutions. While completing the pass out, the crew must show that they operate safely and remain focused.

Coxswain Vince Jones said.

"Congratulations to both Paul and Jez today. Their success today results from their dedication to training and hard work preparing to pass out today. Also, thanks to our crew, who have assisted in the prep work. All our team give 100%, and the hard work pays off and helps us to provide the amazing service we do"
