I know, I know... the summer holidays have barely ended, but we are already getting our SPOOK on! One of the best things about owning The Big Yurt is that we get to sleep in it sometimes!! Today is our son's Birthday Eve, and birthdays are a BIG deal at Meadowside. So we've moved into the yurt for a big ol' family movie night and sleepover. Complete with movie snacks and decorations. What more could a birthday boy want?!

We have some very special guests coming to stay at The Big Yurt this weekend. One of them is celebrating his 6th birthday! We love a celebration, so we've decorated the yurt (and themed the welcome basket) for his big day.

It's plum season and here at Meadowside we are lucky to have 5 plums trees, with 2 different varieties. As you enter The Big Yurt's magical pathway from the drive you'll see one drooping over you. Grab one as you pass if you're feeling peckish!
