Fenham Farm Alpacas - absolutely delighted to FINALLY announce the safe arrival of our new cria - Daphne!
She was born yesterday afternoon and is very little but is doing really well. Polly is brilliant mum!

The land and shore at Fenham are home to a diverse mix of wildlife throughout the year. Six internationally important species of wildfowl and wading birds spend the winter at the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve – light-bellied brent geese, barnacle geese, and pinkfooted geese are joined by wigeon, grey plovers and bar-tailed godwits. On land, deer are often seen at dusk, along with rabbits and hares.

Emmanuel Head on Holy Island

"The White Pyramid" was built by Trinity House between 1801-1810. One of the earliest daymarks (a navigational aid for shipping) to be built in Britain, it stands 35 feet high.
Past the castle there is a path along the sea edge that takes you to Emmanuel Head. It is a lovely walk and a much quieter piece of the island.
