Definitely worth a visit, the first and oldest chain suspension bridge in the World has just reopened at a cost of 10.5 million pounds once again connecting England and Scotland, and donβt miss out on a visit to Chain Bridge Honey Farm . Love the smell of new bee's wax and the delicious taste of honey π― π
Perhaps they should have this photograph at both ends of the causeway.
Planning a visit to Holy Island soon? Two pictures, same place at different times. Check the tide tablesβ¦

Almost every one of my guests visit the Holy Island of Lindisfarne which is only a ten minute drive away. A unique and spiritual destination where a copy of the famous and fabulous Lindisfarne Gospels are on show and they have a beautiful church you can visit too. You can take a stroll through the winding lane's , sample fresh crab sandwiches, have a very nice meal in one of the many restaurants or have a pub lunch but keep an eye on the time as the tide waits for no one. Its another one to have on the visit list from a beautiful self catering holiday accommodation in Berwick upon Tweed. www.oilmilllane.co.uk. situated in a quiet residential area of Old Town Berwick, all ground floor with a private garden and free residential parking for two persons . The Christmas π and decorations make this a lovely cosy place to relax and enjoy Christmas and New Year, both weeks are available, why not check us out at www.oilmilllane.co.uk.
Two elderly people were forced to abandon their car on Holy Island causeway after getting stranded just after high tide.
Fabulous tasting honey and really interesting display of a live hive where you can watch the bee's do their work through a glass window. The scent of honey and bee's wax in the display area is quite intoxicating . They also have surprising large variety of honey and beeswax produced that make excellent gifts and souvenirs that are beautifully packaged and can be purchased and delivered through the Internet too. Priced to suit every pocket. Well worth a visit and within ten minutes drive from a superb self catering ground floor holiday accommodation in a quiet residential area of Berwick upon Tweed's old town within the famous Elizabethan Walls on the corner of Oil Mill Lane and Palace Street East, check us out at www.oilmilllane.co.uk.
Just checked the zip- up greenhouse on the Sundeck and what a surprise. I stopped watering these chilli plants ages ago. Unfortunately the small yellow ones don't taste to good but the red one will go into a home grown pumpkin and sweet potato curry. As you can see the hanging baskets are still growing.
