Oeddech yn gwybod pan brynwyd Ystâd Bodnant gan Henry Pochin yn ystod yr Hydref 1874, roedd y Neuadd (a adeiladwyd c1789-1799) yn bodoli eisoes? Cyflogodd Pochin bensaer, sef William Green, i ailfodelu’r adeilad Sioraidd, gan ychwanegu toeau llechi Cymreig, gwaith maen nadd ac adrannau hanner coediog.

Bodnant Garden is celebrating its 150th birthday this month – and it doesn’t look a day over 100!

All joking aside, it’s the love and care over the last 150 years that has created what we see and enjoy today.

Did you know that when Henry Pochin purchased the Bodnant estate in October 1874, the Hall (built in c1789-1799) already existed? Pochin hired architect William Green to remodel the Georgian building, adding Welsh slate roofs, dressed stonework and half-timbered sections.

Coffee break video … just look at how low the river is…and it’s only March ! On the plus side I saw a lonely mallard waggling downstream.. the water was so clear I could see his little orange feet paddling .. wonderful ! Vacancies from 22 April , glandulynriversideholidaycottage.co.uk

Morning baths , captured through the kitchen window , Mr Blackbird, He flew off then Mrs Blackbird , then a blue tit ..but I missed him …ah such is life lol 😂
