It’s 5am, still a long way to go 🚂

Had a lovely 3 nights in Vienna, flying from Heathrow with BA ✈️ it’s only a short flight but well worth a visit . We crammed in as much as possible , starting with a walk around this beautiful city onto an evening dinner cruise 🛥️ along the Danube. We travelled mainly on their underground network which is easy to navigate. 🚇 Spent a few hours walking around the Schonbrunn Palace then onto the famous hotel Sacher where we ate the delicious Sacher-Torte 🍰 We visited their famous funfair 🎪🎡 thought it would be just a big wheel and a few stalls , but surprised at how good it was. Plenty of rides for all 🎢 The last day in Vienna we had booked to see the Spanish Riding School 🐴 amazing how these horses trot to music, although many people inside with some restricted views, best to book a seat rather than stand. Onto Apple strudel , a delight. I am now en route to Zurich on the overnight sleeper train 🚝, passing through Austria and into Switzerland . Another three nights then home. Will update on Zurich Wednesday ⭐️⭐️

Nice journey into Manchester airport 🛬

🇮🇹About to leave Lake Garda, it’s been a lovely little break and a must do. We stayed in a small hotel, but the idea was to be central as only here for 4 nights and wanted to explore as much as possible.😎 The location was perfect ,sitting amongst the pretty cobbled streets, shops 🌟and restaurants. We sailed across to Limone⛴️,only takes 20 minutes and me being a worrier for travel sickness, it was fine. Limone is so pretty , I would say smaller than Malcesine but enough to see and wander round similar shops and restaurants .Day after we took the cable car up Monte Baldo 🏔️found ourselves in the middle of clouds ☁️but seamt to clear in minutes then form again, so always a good chance of fab scenic photos . Next day, caught a bus to Riva Del Garda, this was more like a town with larger shops, but equally pretty, we walked past a few lovely hotels with a gorgeous path along the lakeside. This area was busy with water sports enthusiasts.🏄‍♂️Overall, this is such a lovely holiday, whether you want a short break or a week. Also accessible to Milan , Verona and Venice 🚤 It’s certainly somewhere to put on your wish list .
