We experienced the best of both worlds, from the tranquil blue lagoons on a private boat to the bustling town life in Valletta, topped off with the vibrant energy of @defectedevents festival. It was a well-rounded trip offering a mix of relaxation, cultural exploration as well as the liveliness of the beach clubs and bars. โ๏ธ
We booked a private boat trip which was incredible, snorkelling in the crystal waters of the blue lagoon, jumping off cliffs and relaxing in the sunshine all whilst having the boat to ourselves. ๐ ๐
The 3-day festival itself was amazing! With DJโs performing throughout the day at the well-known Cafรฉ del Mar whilst watching the sunset from infinity pool to partying in the historic Fort St Elmo within the walls of the 1552 listed building and ending the night at UNO the largest open-air venue in Malta! ๐บ๐ฝ๐
We finished the unforgettable holiday with a day trip to Valletta to enjoy the historical culture of the Capital and the local restaurants down the old, narrow streets. Vallettaโs lively streets, beautiful views and charming market stalls, offered a truly immersive and delightful experience We took a small water taxi across the harbour to three cities and enjoyed a quiet afternoon drink before heading home.๐ฅ๐

I've just got back from my first cruise, just me and my daughter and I have to say what an amazing way to holiday!
Cruising may have a reputation as old and stuffy but I assure you there is a cruise for everyone, singles, couples, adults only and families young, old and multi generational.
For us, I chose Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas with a Greek Island itinerary, finishing with a day in the lovely bay of Kotor, Montenegro.
I stocked up on sea sickness bands, tablets etc just incase I needed them, I was concious of sea sickness but they have come home unopened, I'll maybe save them for my next North Sea Ferries experience which is totally different to cruising I promise ๐
It is one of the older, smaller Royal ships, reviews really mixed so I wasnt sure what to expect, mainly as people who are well travelled on Royal ships have come to expect the much larger ones with lots more facilities, I was prepared to ignore the reviews and follow my gut, I'm really glad I did.
The staff on this ship are incredible, many knew me by name almost straight away, everywhere I went someone was there to provide a drink or a smile and we were. made little animals in our stateroom everyday which always brought a smile.
Each port was completely different so it never once felt 'samey', we wondered through 'Mamma Mia Land' Mykonos as my daughter called it, we enjoyed a carraige ride around the harbour of Chania in Crete, got to see the blue-est sea we've ever seen at the Sea Caves of Zakynthos, and sailed out the beautiful 'Lady of the Rock' church in the bay of Perast, Kotor.
Each morning we headed out, did our sightseeing, sometimes had lunch, sometimes went back to the ship, but was always back around the pool enjoying the live music by 3pm.
