There's nothing like a mug of hot chocolate on a night like this! Keeping toasty warm with a fire bowl full of burning logs outside and a stove full of burning logs inside. This is a favourite place to sit, looking over the fields and watching the sun sinking down.

This stag was spied through the fencing at the back of The Cart Shed and photographed by one of our guests.
Deer have been frequent visitors recently, often beautifully camouflaged amongst the trees in the woods, but sometimes seen bounding across the fields. Such beautiful creatures, we feel lucky they keep coming back.

A warm, sunny welcome to our new hens - no names this time as there are two of each breed and therefore quite difficult to tell apart. The breeds are:
Beechwood Blue, Lilac Splash, Bason Mottled and Blue Emerald.
They are being fed corn every day by two little boys, who are staying in the Cart Shed for half term.
