And that's it! 2024 season is over 👏

We are fortunate enough to still have 12 changeovers this weekend and LOTS of winter bookings, BUT I'm sure our cleaners can join me in agreeing WE ARE READY FOR A BREAK!

The last 7 months have just been incredible! We've had some really wonderful people join our team - they will continue working with us throughout winter and again next season. We've renovated our HQ and our first laundry season has been WILD - I'm so greatful for those who have embarked on our newest avenue and rolled with it - quite literally, I'm not sure what we would have done without our roller iron 😅🤣

As we come to the end of another amazing season - as always, we say goodbye to those owners who are selling their properties and welcome any new customers we work with in 2025 😊

A big thank you, to all of our customers this year! We really do appreciate your loyalty and partnership and working with our family Run Business - although my children don't always enjoy coming to work with me, as a full time working mum of 2 small children I want to say every late night invoice, every out of hours call outs, any issue we will ever come across, I do it for my babies - this is for you both and I hope mummy makes you proud every day 🩷

📢📢WOW - What a season 2024 Has been! 📢📢

Last year we completed 312 changeovers, between myself and a couple of cleaners.

This year we have completed - a HUGE 1160 CHANGEOVERS!!!!

Our team is made up of some amazing cleaners who really have gone the extra mile for me this year, early starts and sometimes not finishing until 11pm! Travelling to different locations, and dealing with out of hour maintenance issues as they arise!

It's also made up of some fab ladies who have been thrown in the deep end, organising - washing - drying - ironing - packing and delivering all of our properties with linen, all from our new unit once it was renovated, it was all GO GO!

To everyone involved with Short Retreats I am SOO greatful for everything you have done this season.

We still have MANY upcoming winter bookings - however the summer rush is nearly over and will give us some time to reflect and open our books and take on new management companies, new customers and off course new team members!

In preparation for the 2025 season - bring it on.

SOOOOO... Its finally time to reveal we have been working super hard and now have our very own Short Retreats HQ!

Our unit has been COMPLETELY renovated giving us space for our in house holiday let laundry, maintenance stock, lost property packing station, podcast area, offices and the worlds BIGGEST ironing table 😉 we will share our renovation video very soon!

20 months ago I started Short retreats completely from scratch, we are now just short of 2 years and absolutely growing everyday ❤️

If you have a goal - work hard,but never give up... One day you'll look back and realize it was ALL worth it!

We are looking for self employed cleaners to join our team.

Our company is growing and we are looking for cleaners to represent Short Retreats conducting holiday let changeovers.

Full training will be given, uniform OR plain black clothing will be provided, cleaning products - weekly schedules provided, weekly pay, work located in Tendring with the chance for more work outside of the area.

Do you enjoy cleaning and looking for an extra bit of income with the flexibility of working around children/school runs, we provided working hours that will work around this.

- self employed contracts, flexible around you.
- days / hours to suit.
- More cleaning hours avaliable as we grow..

We are keen to work with experienced cleaners who have an eye for detail. Experience in holiday let cleaning preffered but not essential as training will be given.

*EMPLOYED ROLE*
Due to our newest contracts we are looking for a new cleaner to join our team.

This is an employed role, from £13 an hour.
Main working days Mondays, Fridays & Sundays - although must be available if needed any day of the week.( Working days can be discussed )

Seasonal contract with the chance to extend into the winter months on a full time / permanent contract.
Full training, Uniform & cleaning products provided.

Work van may also be provided in time.

- Must drive & have a transport.
- Must be able to work as an individual on sites & at our properties
- Must have an eye for detail as most work is self checked prior to sign ofs.
- Must be hardworking, loyal & trustworthy!

We are keen to work with a loyal individual who enjoys cleaning and understands the high standard of cleaning required during holiday let changeovers, cleans are provided in between guests. We have many caravans, lodges and different types of properties located in Tendring & Suffolk. Most work will be on caravan parks in the Tendring area with the chance to work alongside higher team members outside of the area.

As we approach summer months we are getting extremely busy, more hours can be provided if needed.
