Schools in, to the delight of parents, if not teacher and pupils! We are running more routes than ever this year and even using some natty new tech on certain runs.

The coaches will run as normal even if only selected year groups are in on the first couple of days.

On both Eaton Bank runs pupils will be required to scan their passes when they get on. Don't worry if you haven't got one yet we can take names until the school issues the pass.

Macc College will operate a duplicate service for the first week at least until we get a firm idea of numbers.

The 81081 & 81082 Holmes Chapel Comprehensive runs have now merged and will operate as 81082. The times and route have not changed.

All Hallows also remains unchanged if you haven't been issued a barcode to travel don't worry for the first week. We can do it manually.

Biddulph High run departs the Rose & Crown 0823 each day and returns at 1523 except for Mondays when it is 1430!

Woodhouse Academy departs 0830 from Woodhouse Lane.

All other routes remain the same.

We look forward to seeing everyone on their respective first days. I can smell the Lynx Africa already.

First day of the school holidays. Two full holiday tours gone for the week, 47 people on a day excursion and summer school begins.

It's a wrap! School is out.

Massive thanks to everyone for their support this academic year.

It's fair to say we've been busier than ever. Today, a couple of the lads have had it confirmed that they have broken the world record for most visits to Alton Towers in a calendar month!

To all our customers, the longstanding ones, who support us year after year and the ever increasing number of new ones, with names I don't recognise. Thankyou!

The staff who work incredibly hard to keep the wheels turning day after day. It goes without saying we couldn't do it without you.

And the pupils, sorry to hear about the loss of family pets. I assume that is why so many of you are wearing trousers at half mast.

Have a great summer, stay safe, and see you in September, when the first waft of Lynx Africa hits the nostrils.

Oh, and if anyone is missing: 345 school ties (in various colours and designs), 36 odd shoes, a wet suit, mig welder, or life-size cut out of Ronaldo, give us a call. They are all in our lost property.

To keep on the topic of travel news, as we’ve mentioned previously, has a free bus all day on Saturday 13th July, that we encourage everyone to use in order to stay environmentally friendly! 🚌

Hollinshead Coaches will be starting the route outside the Biddulph Youth and Community Zone, then the Staffordshire Moorlands Family Hub, followed by Sainsbury's/Biddulph Town Hall, The Rose & Crown in Biddulph Moor, and finally arriving at Biddulph Old Hall! This will be a round-trip then going from Biddulph Old Hall, to Biddulph Moor, The Rose & Crown ETC.

The first coach will depart at 9:30am from the Biddulph Youth and Community Zone, and these round-trips will begin every 45 minutes (there will be a break with no services between 1-2pm).

The last bus to Biddulph Old Hall will be at 4pm and the last bus leaving Biddulph Old Hall will be at 6pm.

See you all there! 🎉

This man was so keen to go to Andrea Rieu that he flew straight to the coach on a flying machine of some type.

We now only have 10 tickets left. If you aren't careful it will be a 2019 AA road atlas and a hat with torch on as the only options for a Christmas gift!

Hope you all enjoyed the longest day of the year and the Summer Solstice.The nights now start to draw in, the heating soon to be turned on and Christmas is just round the corner. Basically, it's the perfect time to start thinking about a special gift for a loved one, someone you think is alright or even as treat for yourself.

I've seen old Andre on Sky Arts once, when I was trying to find the darts and I was truly mesmerised.

Due to the road closure on New Street the 1525 Biddulph High School bus will route via Woodhouse. Consequently it will arrive at Biddulph Moor about 1550. Unfortunately, we won't be able to do the Robin Hill stop as we won't have access.

I asked the workman if he could let us through but apparently Seven Trent are digging the road up.

In an update to this, Woodhouse lane is so busy that we will be going round Biddulph Park not up Woodhouse Lane. ETA R&C 1605.

Rumours that I have a heart of stone crushed in one lovely email. No stuffed toys were injured in the making of this story!

Good morning Steve,

I wanted to email and say thank you for being so wonderfully kind on the phone on Friday. I rang you to see if there was a missing teddy rabbit on the coach that took a group from *********** Primary School to Llandudno on 15th May.

You searched the coach for me and spoke to the driver who took them to see if he had seen anything on the Thursday evening. You even offered to send one of your drivers to the hostel in Llandudno to collect Pinky if it turned up.

Well, I'm more than happy to report that child and rabbit have been reunited! It was found down the side of the bed in the hostel and we went to collect it on Saturday. I did say that you had offered to collect for us, but the wait was too much!

Thank you again, your kindness meant so much last week!

Twiggy's Treble! I thought I'd done with football posts for the year. But no, we ( well Twiggy) transport the lads from Witton Albion, all around the country and today they won their final game to complete the treble!

Sunday we head down to Wembley for the Play Off final, but try as I might I can't bring myself to wish Crewe good luck. Before, we mobilise the fleet for one last Wembley trip next Saturday, for the Cup Final. Don't care who wins that, but we are behind City, as it's them who are paying us!

All good guys to work with because in the end people deal with people.

But remember. Up The Vale!
