Xmas has come early to Westward Ho ! It's not often you see snow on the pebble ridge at Westward Ho. Courtesy of storm Darragh we were treated to the next best thing this morning- foam - loads of it.

As is often the case my photography is very average, but I hope the photo gives you an idea as to how great our courtyard looked with ALL the cottages carving out some great pumpkins for Halloween . Just a shame I can't do wide angled photos and show the whole courtyard! Thank you guests , you did a really good job.

Delighted to have just put up our blackboard with the timings for the first pizza making and slippy slide session of the summer holidays ! The sea in N Devon is bath temperature, the sun shines non stop, the farm fields are a lush green, where else would you want to be in the world ?

A huge thank you to the very kind Littleham resident who recently spent a great deal of time strimming the verges at the crossroads- Jane and I and I'm sure all other users of these roads are very grateful. Now we can actually see the traffic coming from the left and right, makes pulling out that whole lot safer !

It happens every year, twice a year, but we still find the sight of hay waiting to be baled at Robin Hill Farm a true sign of a Devon summer. There is no more glorious a sight of the English countryside

As its cold and wet in North Devon, thought I'd post a summer's day photo, might cheer me up ( and consequently Jane) if nothing else. Please note we are getting VERY full for the summer holidays, busier than this time last year when I recollect having to post a similar message.
