5 of our coaches headed down to Wembley Stadium yesterday for the Plymouth V Bolton match.

Although not the best score outcome for us, it was amazing to see so many supporters come together.

TORR08 will be late dropping children off tonight due to an accident on the a386 resulting in a road closure. The coach is currently trying to turn around and will be back en-route soon.

On behalf of Ken, Linda, Harry & Zara, we wish all our lovely customers, drivers, workshop & office staff and hotels and providers that we deal with a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We would also like to take this time to thank every one for their support and their kind comments following our last post about 2023.

Special mention to Ken, Harry, Mel & Diane who are away with their coach loads in South Wales, Bournemouth and 2 in Scotland for Christmas making sure everyone has a good time. 😁 Safe journey home next week!

Good morning. We have just reviewed the situation this morning and due to ice on the roads are NOT operating -
HOlS14 and HOLS17 into Bradworthy Primary
HOLS19 will serve Bradworthy only NOT Sutcombe.
All other routes have left our depot.
Safety has to be our number one priority.
Have a lovely Christmas.

HOLS19 (holsworthy college) and HOLS17 (brad primary from Powlers) are not running due to the ice over night

SCHOOL TRANSPORT 15 DECEMBER-

There will be no Bid33 (woolsery Primary school)
There will be no HOLS14 (Newlands - Brad school route)
The 2 above is due to thick ice on access to pick ups and schools.

Rtn001 (Atlantic Academy) will be going ahead except from pick up in clovelly visitor.

And all our other school runs are going ahead as normal.

We have assessed our local roads and feel for the safety of children and our drivers we are currently only operating TORR008 tomorrow 14th December.

TORR008 will be reviewed in the morning if conditions worsen.

**SCHOOL TRANSPORT UPDATE**

We will not be operating the following school runs tomorrow 13 December :
Bradworthy school
Woolsery school
Holsworthy community college
Bideford college
Atlantic Academy

^These school runs all operate on back roads which are unmanaged with the gritters.

Torrington school (TORR08 ) : We will hopefully be running as normal tomorrow but if conditions worsen over night then we will update you in the morning via a Facebook post. If you don’t hear anything then this is going ahead.

Thank you for your understanding but the children’s and our drivers safety is our number 1 priority.

Due to the current weather warnings and ice/snow already on the roads around us and in our yard, we have taken the decision to cancel all of our school runs tomorrow (12 December).

Thank you in advance, but i hope you can understand that it is to unsafe to travel in these conditions.

What an interesting winters morning,
All our passengers departed & arrived safely for Kew Gardens today!

Incredible effort from our feeder drivers who got people where they needed to be safely!!

From Harry starting in Redruth and picking the Cornish & Devon passengers up & taking to Cribbs Causeway!

To Dave picking up the south Devon & Somerset passengers

And also to Diane & Matt who collected the north Devon guys!

Massive thanks to everyone and most of all thanks to our passengers for their patience!

*2023 Holiday Brochure Announcement*

We are very sorry to announce that we have taken a very tough decision not to produce a 2023 holiday brochure.
There are many reasons.

We have always prided ourselves in offering a value for money holiday with over 50 local departure points.

Due to the present economic climate, the rising cost of electricity, fuel, hotel prices and availability and wage increases we have looked at the pricing for next year and with the uncertainty that we are facing looking forward, we feel that our value for money ethic can not be applied.
Some hotels have declined groups for many reasons, some have quite understandably increased their rates considerably, some attractions are not as flexible and their opening times and prices can be unpredictable.

We have had many a good time since we started in the 90’s and we can all tell many a story, we would like to thank you all for your support over the years.

We will continue to operate our private hire and school transport as normal and all our 2022 coach holidays are still operating.

Perhaps in 2024, the world will be a better place, so in the words of Boris….hasta la vista!
