So proud to have this Blue Flag beach on our doorstep! Westward Ho! Beach has just won the prestigious status for the 21st year in a row 🎉

Not only that! The beach has also won the Seaside Awards too:

There’s nothing quite like enjoying these summer evenings at the beach watching the sunset! Absolute perfection 😍

You can’t go wrong with a sharing camembert and a blue cheese burger in our humble opinion! Especially not when in Appledore knows to add the extra bread with the cheese so we don’t have to ask for it! Absolutely amazing food and a great find after a stroll along the from Bideford to Appledore. Highly recommend! And hey, after all that walking you’ve deserved it, right?!

This year on International Families Day we wanted to share with you all our annual sausage sizzle tradition! Hitting its 50th year this Easter Saturday just gone, the family gets together to cook up some hot dogs!

Over 50 years this has sometimes been just a few of us, often lots of us with our extended family but always great fun. So many special memories and especially those treasured times with family members who are sadly no longer with us.
