Boa Tarde! 🖐 The APDA Specialised Committee on Water Distribution Systems (CESDA) hosted 12 training workshops yesterday in Lisbon. The workshops were divided into 3 main categories, practical-operational, technical and technological and two of our Project Managers presented a technological workshop on "Mobile digital tools to manage leak detection activities". This covered a demonstration of some of our latest software to help reduce NRW, such as Netbase, NetOps and NetAlytics.

Thank you to everyone at Águas Livres Academy, APDA, and EPAL for organising this successful event, hopefully the first of many. 🙌

Yesterday marked Time to Talk Day, a UK-wide initiative aimed at encouraging open conversations about mental health. We hosted a drop-in session, where our teams had the opportunity to learn more about mental health and wellbeing. 🧠 🧡

During the session, we explored some thought-provoking true/false statements, watched a short video about the importance of , and wrapped up with a fun talking task to take away. A big thank you to everyone who participated and for being open and honest in the discussions.

💡 Remember, it’s so important to communicate and check in with one another, especially with those you see every day.

We hosted a bake sale and Christmas jumper day last week to raise money for a wonderful charity, Purple Heart Wishes, who are a UK based charity that grants wishes to adults who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness aged between 18–55.

We're pleased to have raised a total of £226, which will help fund something special for a loving family, who are treasuring each and every memory. Thank you to all our kind Crowder colleagues for participating in our festive day, we went home with full stomachs and happy hearts.

As it's World Water Loss day, we reflect upon the last 2 days of our trip down to Birmingham, to attend the 25th Annual Leakage Conference. The team had a brilliant time networking and exploring new innovative ways to reduce water loss. It's vital for the sustainability of the finite resource (water), to draw attention to global challenges at conferences such as this. We continually strive towards cutting edge solutions in order to aid our clients with their upcoming AMP8 targets.💧

We appreciate all those involved in the leakage conference, from the presenters to the event coordinators. 🤝 And let's not forget a big well done to Dilraj Dhillon for participating in the Upstream panel discussion!

What an incredible few days at the Water Loss Asia conference.

Tom and Gillian lead an intriguing workshop this afternoon on Making Consumptions Dynamic & the Water Balance Smarter. The focus was on the analysis of smart metering data and application in the water balance. We can use the smart water balance to derive more representative consumption estimates, leveraging the smart meter data, the cohort analysis results of the smart meter data, as well as dynamic pressure adjustments.

This afternoon, Tom presented during the Smart Water Networks session on Targeting Water Loss Reduction More Effectively & Improving Leakage Detection Efficiency. He focused on the application of analytics, digital applications, and mobile working in leakage detection.
