Ink The Skin Tattoo Studio is a clean, open tattoo studio based in Acocks Green village, just off the main Warwick road on the corner of Station road (look up and you will see the shop). We can cover a variety of tattoo styles and themes. There is a collection of tattoos by each of our artists available to view in the gallery. We are always happy to design a custom piece specifically to meet our c
ustomers requirements as well as the range of available designs and ideas in our books, racks and magazines situated by our waiting area. We are also competent at creating designs especially for cover-ups. All of our tattoo artists also create their own personal artwork using different medias & art materials, some of which are displayed in the shop for our customers to see our capabilities. We have screens available if you require more privacy. Hygiene is very important to us at Ink the Skin, so if you have any questions about our sterilization or setting up/cleaning methods, don’t hesitate to ask (you can request to see us set up for your tattoo with notice). We are open Monday to Saturday 11am-5pm.(We can offer later appointments if these times are inappropriate due to working hours etc)

**ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE**
• £40 MINIMUM CHARGE. £70/Hour charge (unless price is dictated and recorded after agreement, by the artist and customer).
• NO DEPOSIT, NO BOOKING: We ask that a minimum of £40 deposit is left for bookings that values over the sum of £70. Values under the total of £70 will be requested by the artist or £30 if not otherwise requested. These values will be taken off of the total upon completion of the booking.
• The value of the £50 is our minimum charge for a “Large” booking (i.e. 3+ hours totalling an average value of £180), anything above this value that is left as a deposit, is the choice of the customer. These values will be taken off of the total upon completion of the booking.
• PHOTOGRAPHS OF DESIGNS: We ask for you to respect the artist’s rights to their original work. Artists are not at liberty to send copies of the designs digitally but may make exceptions for certain circumstances (i.e. travel distances being to great). - Copyright laws are in place immediately; this is an international standard.
• ALTERATIONS AND CHANGES TO DESIGNS: During the design period, the artist may contact you to come in to view the design and give agreement to the final image. If any alterations are required, inform the artist within 72 hours before the booking. A maximum of 3 minor alterations are allowed for image based designs.
• 48 HOUR / 2 DAYS CANCELATION NOTICE: During the time between the successful booking and the date of the appointment, customers are invited to either contact the artist via email, social medias, direct message/phone call, shop land line phone call or in person. In this time, any alterations to the design or the date or time of booking can be made prior to 48 hours before date and time of the appointment (i.e. if your appointment is booked for 4th of January 2012 at 10:00, the latest we will except any alterations will be 2nd of January 2012 at 10:00). If notice of rearrangement or cancellation is given within the 48 hour period, the artist is with their rights to keep the deposit as a payment for the “Lost Booking”.
• REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DAY OF BOOKING: on the date of your appointment you will required to bring the following: valid I.D for the person being tattooed (copies of this may be taken to be attached to the consent form), the correct amount of money in cash (as no card facilities are on site) and your appointment card (to confirm the details of the appointment). You are also required to eat a solid meal and drink a sugary drink before the booking for medical purposes.
• LATENESS/NO SHOWS/LOST BOOKINGS: If you are running late, call the shop as soon as possible to allow our artists to keep on top of their time management as they will have other bookings scheduled. If there is no contact made within 30 minutes after the booked time, the artist will be at liberty to count the booking as a “No Show”. “No Show” is in conjunction with the “Lost Booking” 48 hour notice policy. As stated, ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.
• AFTERCARE AND POST APPOINTMENTS: In regards to “top ups” and “touch ups”, the artist will offer accordingly. “Top ups” are for smaller/minimum charge tattoos that may require a small amount of details re-added. For larger work, the maximum of 30 minutes will be used as a free top up. “Touch ups” will be dictated by the artist. If the aftercare is not followed as advised, the risk of infection or damage to the tattoo is not the fault of the artist. Clear damage signs consist of: Picking, Scratching, Scabbing, Scaring, Over moisturising, Prolonged suffocation of the skin, Over washing/Submersion of the skin and Dryness. These go against the instructions. Advice to avoid these issues will be given in both verbal and written forms. Skin should not be tattooed or pierced for up to an average of 3 weeks as this is to accommodate the healing process of all layers of skin.
