It's that wonderful time of year where we get to recognise our fantastic societies, sports, volunteers and the wonderful work they have done in the past year through the Med Soc Awards! Any member of Med Soc can nominate people or groups for an award, so if you think they are deserving, why not nominate below! You do not have to nominate for every award, but if you do nominate someone, please give us a few lines as to why so we can make an informed vote!

The awards up for grabs are:
- Sport of the Year
- Society of the Year
- Charity of the Year
- The Med Soc Cup - traditionally awarded to a student in their final year to acknowledge exceptional commitment to Med Soc and all it encompasses during their time at University

NEW FOR 2024!
- The Rising Star Award - to recognise a society that have recently been created and re-started and the efforts that go into such a thing!
- Volunteer of the Year

ATTENTION FINAL YEARS (and 4th years after intercalation!) - it’s time to elect your final year dinner/ show committee for 2023/24!!

This is such a fantastic opportunity to be part of making your final year the best it can be and celebrate finishing Med School with your cohort!

There are various different roles, from organising the weekend away, to the show, yearbook or managing the whole organisation!! If you’re not sure what might suit you, check out the job roles linked in our Insta bio or via the QR code!

Key dates:
• 18-19.00 Tuesday 7th March - MedSoc Election Information Evening! This will be an in-person session (location TBC, keep an eye on our social media), in the medical school run by the current MedSoc committee. This will be the best way to learn some more about any roles you're interested in. We'll make sure to record it for anyone who can't make it in person/set up a zoom link!
• 12.00 Monday 13th March - Video Deadline: This is the deadline for any promotional videos to be sent to me on this email address. Videos not submitted or sent after this time cannot be used!!
• 18.00 Sunday 19th March - Nomination and Manifesto Deadline: This is the deadline for nominating yourself for a position on the MedSoc Committee (an email to me including your name, position you're running for and your manifesto). Any manifestos being used will also need to be sent to me for approval by this deadline.
• Tuesday 21st March (7pm in LT3) - MedSoc Hustings: this is an opportunity to meet all the candidates for next year's committee and to find out more about what they would want to do if elected.
• Wednesday 22nd March - ELECTIONS OPEN
• Sunday 26th March - ELECTION CLOSE

⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE ⚠️
MEDRAVE X TEKTU CANCELLED

Hey everyone! As I am sure many of you are already aware, due to unforeseen circumstances TEKTU have cancelled their event and therefore MedRave will NOT be happening on Thursday.

We are so sorry to break this bad news so close to the event, we have only just found out ourselves. We had lots of interest in the event and know how excited many of you were! We are just as disappointed!

We will send out another message ASAP regarding refunds or ticket transfers!

We promise however to put on another great event later in the year so stay tuned for updates!🥰 feel free to get in touch with any questions
