While the kids were off school yesterday they kindly made me some destination videos of some trips last year. Thought they might be handy to watch if anyone is interested in the destination. First up is Sri Lanka ð±ð° We have a Zante one ready to be posted tomorrow ð¬ð· and some more throughout this year hopefully ! X
Barcelona
ð¥°Thank you to Camille and family for sending a review of there recent trip to Barcelona. They stayed at the Barcelona Apolo by Melia, looks like you had a fab time!! Thanks to everyone who sends me there snaps, I love have a nosey at what you have been up too!
Just wanted to let you know what an amazing time we had in Barcelona , hotel was superb , with a free upgrade to a newly refurbished suite .
We ended up going to a local match at the stadium which was beyond all expectations!!!
Weather was amazing and such a beautiful cosmopolitan city .

ð¬ð·Review of Zante 2022ð¬ð·
ðSo we are back from an amazing week on the Island of Zante.
ðHotel - We stayed at the Alykanas Village Hotel in Alykanas on bed and breakfast. The hotel was fantastic, lovely pool area and one facing out to sea. The location was perfect
5 Mins walk to the centre, right on the beach, watersports and boat trips a 2 min stroll away.
ðResort - We loved the resort! Lot's of lovely places to eat on the strip and also some on the beach with amazing views of the sea. Plenty of bars to choose from, mini arcade for the children and lots of shops. The watersports
are on the beach and did everything you could think of. Short walk to the pier if you are wanting book any boat trips.The beach is beautiful, very shallow water and so clear.
Taxi's in the resort are by horse and cart, 10 euro set fee ( within reason ) and they will take you into Alykes if you fancy a change of scenery.
ðQuad trip - We hired 2 quad bikes from the resort. I was a bit apprehensive at first but I soon got the hang of it. 40 Euro's per quad for the whole day, plus fuel but this was very cheap and they will fill it up for you.
We started off driving to the South of the Island to Laganas and then went North through the mountains to see the ship wreck. Passed lot's of small Villages in the mountains where we stopped to look in the traditional shops etc.
Brilliant day out had by all!
ðBoat trip - We decided to hire a private boat for the day which I thought was really good value at 130 euros plus fuel ( we used about 80 euro's worth ) and we did that from
the watersports place. We followed the coast to the Blue Caves and then on to the ship wreck. Lot's of beautiful private beaches along the way which can't be reached by road,
so we anchored up and swam to them. I can't even describe the colour of the sea, it was stunning! We also stopped at the Blue Caves and jumped off the boat for a swim.
Another fantastic day out the kids loved.
