Finally some outside space to enjoy.
And 6kw of additional solar added .
(Was finnished 3 weeks ago but weather has been pants for photos)
Oh and dug a little pond by accident but the ducks love it

The old barn has been dug up removing 40 tons of stone transported 200 meters and dumped to be rebuilt as a beautiful drystone wall for our solar panels to hide behind...... The old barn walls are getting a make over too turning this entire section into a raised garden seating area and mayby once the solar is in a nice hooooootttt tubbbb..

Site visit by the boss today as usual tearing the fields up. On another note only 26 nights of availability for 2024 remain yes that's right we're nearly fully booked till January 2025....

16ton of crushed stone put down ready for 50 metres of drystone walling to be built to hide our new solar array consisting of 50 panels producing a whopping 18kw at full sun hopefully ending the reliance on our diesel generator during winter months. Had a bit left over so added a nice public footpath too....

(EDIT-I only got the excvator and dumper stuck twice can you see where?)

A few weeks ago we commissioned a scale model of our little cottage by a local artist Jane Holden and this is the result we are delighted with it the attention to detail is impressive. Now all we need todo is complete the landscaping.

A quick video as we're currently getting questions from guests about what vehicle is required to get to the cottage ..... simply put in all weather apart from snow or ice any car with normal ground clearance will manage absolutely fine.

Well what can we say.. as the saying goes go big or go home ..... all new bedroom furniture and Supppppppeeerrrr kinggggggg bed and simba hybrid pro mattress its mahhhhhhooosssivv .. (only had a double before)

And a nice bit of progress on the stone walling weather hasn't been the greatest the last few days so hats off to Top Stone Walling. Looking good lads..

Well the walling has started.... well untill the heavens opened and deposited 75 mm of rain in the space of about 3 hours I've never known rain like it.
Good on the lads Top Stone Walling for trying to stick at it but sometimes getting sick isn't worth it.. dont worry lads only another 146meters to go..lol

After probably one of the busiest weeks up at the moss we are finally ready for Top Stone Walling to come and sprinkle their magic.
It's been too hot and on occasions too wet to work but we've managed to get four gates in an over 20 tons of mot type 1 sub base down. Looking forward to the next few weeks when the walls will take shape ..

Been quite a busy few days here up at the moss getting the foundations scraped out for the new stone walling, cattle grid, and gates ground was a bit boggy in places so ended up having to fill with over 10 tons of stone just to achieve a buildable platform.

It's been a busy day up at the moss 12 tons of stone shifted and piled ready for the new drystone walling commencing in september Top Stone Walling .and a new purchase for the farm to hopefully help remove these rushes from the fields . (The red thing)
