A beautiful day for gathering greenery for wreath making at Thornley Village Hall followed by decorating the Church for Christmas.

The Thornley bees have been working hard and we have honey for sale in the box, alongside fresh hen/duck eggs and home produced woodland pork (ask Thomas for details of pork).

Love the new beds in Binks Cottage and we have been told by guests that they are very comfortable. An update to the bathroom too. Coronation Day was dull during the early morning,but turned into a beautiful day - another new arrival and the Bluebells are beautiful.

Calving and lambing going well on the farm and the hens and ducks are in over drive producing eggs. Yesterday’s project, for Thomas, was to make something to sell eggs from - he made a fantastic job of this and it was expertly painted by our 5 year old granddaughters. We have large duck eggs and various sized hen eggs for sale.

A week ago we could not see the ground for snow, but today the sun is shining and we have a blanket of Snowdrops and Crocus - beautiful.

A beautiful, but very cold start to the day. We hope all our friends are staying safe, well and warm.

It will probably be a “staycation” year again. We don’t know if we will be able to welcome guests due to national and local lockdowns, but we are taking bookings and will give a full refund it you are unable to travel.
