💖💖Tips for self-driving adventures in Australsia💖💖

Self-driving holidays are a popular way to see Australia and New Zealand and explore beautiful regions beyond the big cities. Travelling by campervan can be adventurous with a sense of freedom but also convenient. There are many well-equipped campsites including communal BBQs, the driving is pleasant, and it is a relaxed and flexible way to travel. When planning your trip, it is important to note that many things will take more time than you think. For example, picking up and familiarising yourself with the vehicle might take a moment and it’s important you take your time to get comfortable with it before you start driving. Allow enough time for your first shopping trip to stock up supplies for your self-catering adventure. The maximum speed is 110 km/h (around 70 mph), and it gets dark early so driving at dusk or at night time should be avoided due to nocturnal wildlife. Therefore, you travel at a much slower pace than in some other countries.

Peter Jackson's unprecedented success with the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies has firmly put New Zealand on the map as a top film location, making this stunning country an ideal holiday destination for film buffs.
All over New Zealand you'll find places where these movies were filmed. Here I’ve compiled a list of the best ones that were created in stunning New Zealand:
Lord of the Rings - The Triology (2001 - 2003): It's a no brainer to have this series on the list. These films have sparked a sub-industry in New Zealand tourism, offering tours to stunning film locations. 🧙‍♂️
The Hobbit Trilogy (2012 - 2014): You can't mention Lord of the Rings without including The Hobbit. Filmed across New Zealand, many scenes were shot in the Otago region. 🧝
Wolverine (2009): Filmed in Otago, South Island, and starring the handsome Hugh Jackman, the stunning scenery might overshadow Jackman's physique—but that's a great reason to rewatch it. 😉
