***Emirates Rebooking Options Due to Adverse Weather Conditions in Dubai Update***

Dear Trade Partner,

Customers commencing their journey from Dubai (board point DXB) will not be accepted on EK flights until 0900 hrs on the 18th APR 2024. Customers on connecting flights transiting Dubai will continue to be accepted as normal.

Please advise customers to report to Dubai Airport only if they hold a confirmed flight booking, and only after 09:00hrs on 18 April 2024.

Affected customers can contact their booking agent or Emirates contact centre for rebooking.

Passengers arriving in Dubai and already in transit will continue to be processed for their flights. Customers can expect delays to departures and arrivals and are advised to check the latest flight schedules on emirates.com.

*Below options can be offered for customers travelling to/from or VIA Dubai on EK Pure flights (EK marketed and EK operated) until 21st APR 2024 (Impacted or not impacted)
Rebooking permitted within 15 days of their original travel date in any RBD within the same cabin.
Reroute permitted within 15 days of their original travel date in any RBD within the same region and cabin.

# ETA travel permit for people coming into UK to be launched next month # # # # # # # # # # # #

An Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) will soon be a requirement for everyone coming into the UK from overseas - similar to the ETIAS scheme being introduced for entering the EU

People coming into the UK will soon need a travel permit as the British Government tightens up security at its borders. The new ETA scheme launches in October for people planning to travel the following month and will add more countries until it encompasses all overseas nations by the end of 2024.

The Home Office said: "The Government's number one priority is keeping the UK safe. To strengthen the security of our border and improve travel, the UK is launching an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) scheme - a digital permission to travel to the UK. The ETA scheme is broadly for visitors who do not need a visa for short stays in the UK, or who do not already have a UK immigration status prior to travelling.

"Those applying for an ETA will provide their biographic, biometric and contact details, and answer a short set of suitability questions. This will increase our knowledge about those seeking to come to the UK and prevent the arrival of those who present a threat."

People will need an ETA to come to the UK for up to six months for tourism, visiting family and friends, business or study. You will also need one to come to the UK for up to three months on the Creative Worker visa concession and to transit through the UK – including if you're not going through UK border control.
