Springfield Hotel - Blackpool 'Official Page'
We had a nice surprise phone call last night where we were informed by a fellow hotelier that the Springfield was in the local Gazette - we had made it into the top list for 'Best Blackpool Budget Hotels'!!
Not too sure how this happened (maybe a mystery shopper) but nice to see positive comments and show we are getting recognised.

The Dolphins are back!!!! A pod were also spotted during lock-down and again last year. May be time for Frank (the dog) to get a walk!!!

ANNOUNCEMENT - ICE SKATING RINK ⛸️

We're thrilled to announce that Blackpool-born, Dancing on Ice star Dan Whiston and young cast members from children’s charity BIDCA will open Blackpool’s Christmas By The Sea skating rink this Friday (19 November) from 4:30pm.

The talented young cast members will perform some of their favourite routines from Mary Poppins On Ice, promising a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious event!

Everyone is welcome to come down to the Tower Festival Headland for the magical opening of Christmas By The Sea. The skating rink will be free to use and includes skate hire for visitors and residents.

Alongside the rink there will be a magical forest with 35 twinkling Christmas trees, a dozen log cabins serving a range of food, drink, gifts and souvenirs, light installations including a giant illuminated bauble, and regular artificial snowfalls to create the full alpine experience!

ANNOUNCEMENT!
We are delighted to confirm the World Firework Championships will go ahead in 2021! FREE EVENT.

But there are some date changes. (Please see below)

For 2021, the World Fireworks Championship Blackpool will take place over the beach in front of The Blackpool Tower. The countries that will compete for the title in 2021 are Germany, Russia and Ireland, with the fourth date a showcase event by one of Europe’s leading fireworks companies, Titanium.

📅 World Fireworks Championship Blackpool: September 11, September 25, October 9 and October 23.

Don't Forget! The Blackpool Illuminations will be shining on all these dates so this is your chance to enjoy a BIG family night out or make a weekend of it!

Hello again!!

We've had a disappointing announcement which denies us guests until 17th May’21.......

The update was as follows: -
Indoor lobbies and corridors for entry and exit are restricted to exclusive use of a single household/support bubble.
Unfortunately, as we have multiple Apartments all using the same doors, corridors and stairs etc.. we are unable to re-open the Baxter earlier than was expected.

However, we remain optimistic with plenty of bookings coming through for the summer months.

Great news from Boris - our Self Catering Apartments are allowed to open on 12th April'21 whereas, Hotels & B&B's have to wait until 17th May'21.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the Zoo are also going to open from this date.

UPDATE!!!
I have since spoken with the lady involved who was completely unaware of the situation and had only been invited by Thomas Fellows for the one night.
The reason we initially implicated her was that Thomas Fellows (Aka - Robert Thomas, Ewart Thomas, Cameron Thomas) included her name onto the Registration Documentation.
Thank you to everyone who has helped and please remember that the lady is as much of a victim as we are to this crime..

2nd UPDATE!!
We have since found out that he did the very same to another set of Apartments in the July. This is now also being investigated so thank you Facebook!!!

Robert Thomas, Thomas Fellows, Cameron Thomas, Ewart Thomas or whatever his name is.....

A big 'heads up' to anyone that knows...
Thomas Robert Fellows from 17 Benson street, Bury, BL9 7EP who found it acceptable to stay in our apartments and use a stolen credit card.
This has not only cost us a great deal of money due to the fact that he left the apartment in a disgraceful state and also the 'dispute' fees.

The telephone number apparently no longer belongs to him.
At such a crucial time where small businesses are really suffering, we will not be letting this one go.
If anybody recognises Thomas Fellows from Bury then either please let us know or contact

‼️ IMPORTANT NOTICE ‼️ Due to changes to the law it will become compulsory from Saturday for all guests above the age of 11 to wear a face mask inside enclosed public spaces (except in spaces where it would be ''impractical'' to do so such as pubs and restaurants).

These rules will apply to all indoor Blackpool attractions and arcades from Saturday 8th August 😷.

It is already mandatory to wear a face covering inside shops and when using public transport.

*Children under 11, people with certain health conditions and people with a disability are exempt.

Please Note: If visiting Blackpool Pleasure Beach, they do require you to wear a face covering on many of the rides and this does apply to all guests - Adults and Children (except children under 6 and those with certain health conditions or disabilities).

It is also important to note, that due to a clamp down on rules, if you refuse to wear a face covering without valid reason, many of our indoor public spaces will now be forced to turn you away. Thank you for your co-operation.
