During our renovations in 2019/20, we discovered some wonderful features – stained glass, amazing plasterwork, our vintage lift and lovely tiling, so we have showcased it, to add a unique facet to our guest experience, whilst adding in little touches and design features sympathetic to the Art Deco era and talking points in themselves.

Two of our young visitors who stayed with us over half term spent a fantastic hour at the Lifeboat Station on Blackpool Promenade.

The Lifeboat Station sits on the Prom between North and Central Piers and is open to visitors every weekend up until Easter, when it will open every day through to the end of the holiday season.

The Station houses three inshore lifeboats, which you can see and discover more about from the on-site volunteers. You can also learn about the rescues performed from this Lifeboat Station and find out more about the origins of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution itself.

We think it’s well worth a visit, and in the words of Romy and Poppy “It’s smashing!”

The Berkeley Apartments have been upgraded from 4 Star to 4 Star Gold! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Following our recent annual inspection from the AA to confirm our Star Rating, we were extremely proud to be upgraded.

In the words of the inspector, the “visit was to assess physical areas of The Berkeley Apartments and to view any changes since our last inspection. As a result, I can confirm the continuation of a Four Star Self-Catering classification under the AA Self-Catering Scheme. In addition, scores have increased thus allowing for a confident recommendation for the AA Gold Award – compliments to all concerned. External presentation was sound with good branding in place and no noticeable maintenance issues noted. The entrance hall has a wow factor with interesting artwork, comfortable seating and original features restored and enhanced. Corridors and stairway leading to the apartments were in very good order and well lit. The apartments have been very well configured to allow maximum comfort and ease of use. The style is fresh and contemporary, with many interesting details. Some also offer sea views. In addition, beds were attractively presented, emergency details in place and all kitchens were appropriately equipped. Housekeeping, considered to be of the utmost importance within the assessment process, was noted to be very well executed throughout all areas. We wish you well and look forward to returning during the next cycle of inspections.”

We were told to ring 10 mins before arrival which we did, we were met by Maggie the owner who was pleasant and explained everything to us, she couldn’t do enough for us.
