Well that’s it for another year! AirgameZ 2021 rocked!!!
93 jumpers did a total of 895 jumps over the 4 days. This brings our overall total to 3,557 jumps over 16 days, spread across 5 years, with just 1 day lost to weather. Not bad for NW England and it’s schizophrenic weather.

We must say a huge thanks to Alan Cavill and Chris Pope at Blackpool Council for all their help and support. We really wouldn’t have an event without their forward thinking and open minds. Thanks to Tim, Aden and Carl at NMT cranes, you guys are the best! Thanks to Sven Knight at Knight Rigging Services for all the kit and support. And to Air Traffic Control, Concept Security, 1st Event Medical, and the guys at Traffic Managmet.

U.K. Base’d? Want to learn to BASE jump?
Unable or unwilling to travel?
Got a handful of jumps after an FJC but been left to your own devices and struggling progress or meet jumpers from your area? Want to learn from, and progress with, some of the U.K’s most experienced BASE jumpers?

AirgameZ in conjunction with Lemmings BASE, proudly presents a 5 day BASE jumping course right here in the U.K.
The course will consist of a day of ground school covering packing, various jumping techniques, ethics and safety. Day 2: exclusive use of a 375ft crane providing one of the safest environments possible to learn to jump from. Low stress, zero bust factor and a huge landing area.
Days 3-5 join jumpers from across the U.K. at the wold famous AirgameZ crane boogie. You will be paired up with a suitable mentor from your area for the final 3 days and will have your instructor on hand to guide your progression. Hang about after the event and, depending on weather and progression, a day in the Lakes jumping some of the U.K.s most well known exits awaits.

Kit can be provided but preference will be given to those with their own rig.

We don’t believe in an arbitrary amount of skydives, just good basic skills under a parachute or paraglider and a good attitude.

£1,100 for all 5 days including equipment (if required) and entrance fees for the AirgameZ boogie.

We are really looking forward to taking AirgameZ to Sarajevo, Bosnia for the 2019 event. While it is sad not to be holding it in Blackpool as usual, the business of Sarajevo are a LOT more forward thinking in developing tourism than those of Blackpool. Competitors will have their hotels paid for and they are even stumping up prize money for whoever wins the event. A little different from having to pay £300 each toward the crane and then getting ripped off by the hotels, pubs and restaurants in Blackpool. Here is a little video of when we did the official launch earlier in the year.

We are delighted to announce the AMAZING management of the Avaz Twist Tower have agreed to host the 5th annual AirgameZ from their beautiful 179m building in downtown SARAJEVO!!! between the 4-6th of July 2019.
Today Lewis Jones of and Julian Deplidge, had the honour of performing test jumps from the tower.

And the final numbers are in.

44 jumpers, 307 jumps
2016
73 jumpers, 686 jumps
2017
101 jumpers, 606 jumps (lost 1 day to wind)
2018
79 jumpers made a staggering 1063 jumps.

Total injury free (no ambulance or hospital treatment) jumps 2662.

All in all we jumped 11 out of 12 days and loved every second. Not bad, for a sport that is very reliant on low winds, for the North West of England.

We would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has popped along over the years to watch us have some crazy times on Blackpool seafront.
It has been an amazing experience and we will never forget the past four years jumping in Blackpool.

I’d also like to say publicly how grateful we are to the team at Visit Blackpool and Blackpool Council for all their help and support over the years and for being open minded enough to allow the event to take place. They did everything they possibly could to help support and grow the event and we appreciate all they did to help us. A very friendly and professional team, a team who often get criticised by people who are not in the know. Believe me residents of Blackpool, you don’t know how lucky you are to have people like Alan Cavill and Chris Pope at the helm.

We should also say a big thank you to the only local business who showed us any support whatsoever.
Thank you to Knight Rigging Services and to Vantage Motor group, you guys rock! Ironically both are business that would not benefit directly from the jumpers themselves, unlike the local pubs, clubs, restaurants and hotels, who were happy to grab what they could from the jumpers but not have the fore-site to support events in the area.

As I said, unfortunately they were the ONLY local business to support an event that DIRECTLY brings 150+ people to the town for 3-4 nights, fills hotels and spends £50,000+ a time in the local restaurants, hotels and bars. (Yes, BASE jumpers like a beer or 2 after a hard days jumping).

Business of Blackpool, your greed and short sightedness is what’s killing this amazing town. Fleecing tourists for every last penny, ripping off loyal customers and a total lack of investment in new ideas and indeed your own business will only ever lead to a drop in profits long term and further decline in this wonderful resort. Get behind your council and tourist board, support them, don’t attack them! They are doing a great job with limited resources.

Thanks again Blackpool, you were a wonderful host.
