End of day image 30 January.
Another good day, the snow we got last night covered our south east facing slopes well and gave a little powder skiing for those who were in Butcharts Coire. Visibility and winds were light and the first of our school groups, who are skiing with us this week covered a lot of miles. Snow has lasted pretty well after Sunday and although the runs are thinner in places there is still plenty of skiing to be had. Our beginners area and Plastic still have full cover. The snowpack was hard in the morning but by the afternoon the snow was skiing well.
Forecast for tonight and tomorrow is for snow heavy at times. A yellow warning for high winds was originally issued for Tuesday/Wednesday, however this has been downgraded and winds are looking more moderate, so hopefully the snow will get a chance to settle and be captured by our snow fencing - https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gfjed570x #?date=2023-01-31
This will give us a much needed improvement in conditions for tomorrow and into the weekend, but it may mean the road is affected by blowing snow first thing tomorrow morning, you can check the status of the road here - https://www.ski-glenshee.co.uk/Snowroad-webcams
We'll update with road and snow conditions as soon as we get a chance to assess them in the morning.
Lift passes and ski/board hire can be obtained from our ticket office on the day.
