Morning,

A93 open.

-4 at carpark level and a fresh dusting of snow, visibility much better than forecast with hardly a cloud in the sky and light winds 😉

Hill teams were out last night and first thing this morning and we have most of the Cairnwell side of the A93 open, so please see our website for full information on conditions weather, equipment and tickets.

Best of todays weather was in the morning, with the afternoon seeing hill fog and drizzle. Still cold in the moderate winds. Tuesday sees a return to very cold weather and some sunshine and light winds, potentially the best day of the week. Wintry and low temperatures remaining until Saturday at least.

One of my favourite walks from the doorstep of our holiday cottage www.smithycottagekirkmichael.co.uk is the Pitcarmick loop. Along quiet lanes, through forest tracks and on top of Heather moorlands. Even on a wet day like today, it never disappoints. Today's treat was spotting a white deer.

Saturday 19th of February

Blue sky, sun and fresh snow.

The south side gates will open in the next half hour. The Braemar side may take a little longer. Please take care as it is slippery in places. you can check the road webcams here: https://www.ski-glenshee.co.uk/Snowroad-webcams

We have the D**k D**k, Plastic, Baddoch chair and Claybokie open today. More may open later in the day but you’ll have to be patient with us.

You can buy your lift tickets and ski hire at ticket office when you arrive.

Plenty space for sledging but please our operating areas and lift infrastructure for your safety. You can buy parking tickets on the website.
