Our Story
Tullochgorum Lodge is a beautiful granite-built 3 bedroom holiday cottage in the Cairngorms National Park, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
The cottage was bought by Chris Brown and Justine Hampton in 2015 as a weekend and holiday retreat for them and their three children as well as family, friends and guests. The idea of Tullochgorum Lodge is to provide a peaceful home from home in a spectacular setting in the beautiful Scottish countryside - a place to relax and unwind but also to enjoy the great outdoors and all that the area has to offer. We want everyone who visits the cottage to leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
The lodge is situated on Tullochgorum Farm, a working cattle and arable farm, next to the River Spey 2 miles north east of Boat of Garten and south west of Nethy Bridge. Access to the Lodge is down a farm track approximately 1/3 mile off the A95.
The lodge sits all on its own in 1/2 acre of private garden grounds and is surrounded by mature pine trees, fruit trees and flowering shrubs. The only other nearby house is the farm house, which is a few hundred yards away through the trees and back along the farm track. The garden is safe for children, being so far from the road and completely enclosed by a gate and fence.
The 360 degree views from the garden are spectacular, looking out over the River Spey towards Abernethy Forest and the Cairngorm mountains beyond. The outdoor hot tub has been positioned to make the most of the panorama.
Inside, the cottage has been completely refurbished, modernised and furnished to a high standard. Our aim has been to provide a standard and comfort of accommodation that makes it a treat to visit.
Guests are free to pick the fruit from the trees in season. We have four eating apple trees, two victoria plum trees and a morello cherry tree. We also have a small herb garden, which guests are also welcome to use.
