The summers not over yet here in Cornwal. Just been out to the beach this evening, amazing air temperature 22 degrees C, water temperature easily 18 plus, 20 mins drive to the beach from the cottage

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their support of our bid to purchase Tregonning Hill near Helston!

We submitted an offer shortly after the property came onto the market in July and are now in the process of putting together an expression of interest to secure the historic Cornish site.

We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from the public about the sale - so many people want to protect the site and that’s why we feel it’s so important to get the word out about our hopes to purchase it.

We would also like to express our gratitude to Ann Preston-Jones, Historic England Heritage at Risk Project Officer, for her kind words of support.

“Tregonning Hill is of such importance for the history of Cornwall… Such significance deserves the protection and management of an organisation committed to the preservation and careful management of Cornwall's heritage. The site has complex needs not least because a significant proportion of it is protected as a Scheduled Monument, so we want to make sure it gets the care it deserves and remains accessible to everyone.
