An unusual 1 night booking for us! Kim the Peregrine Falcon who had yesterday been blown off course from the nearby Cornish Birds of Prey Centre. Luckily we'd happened to see a post on the Centre's page saying she was missing. Of course being so used to having humans around she was quite happy with us around. Andy from the centre collected her today and she's now safely back at home. We were very lucky to welcome her!!
Out with the goaties on this lovely Sunday afternoon.
We've had a cancellation in Ivy Cottage (sleeps 2) for wc Saturday 8th June. Video of what Ivy Cottage has to offer below. More details on the availability and prices page of our website. www.cransworthsprings.co.uk Please also ring or message if any questions. Simon is on 07906627649.
Friday 17th May. A quick whizz about the place on this gorgeous Friday. Hopefully many more to follow.
A couple of broom heads screwed onto the wall and the goaties are happy.
Finally!! A couple of weeks later than previous years because of the shocking weather the pool is finally open.
We've been down to Padstow today for the 'Obby 'Oss May Day celebrations. A good time was had by all!!
When it comes to rain this really is the winter / spring that just keeps giving! Having to pump the pool out for the umpteenth time. At least there can be absolutely no chance of hosepipe bans or springs drying up this year 🫢
The neighbours are frisky this evening.
Starlings in the field next door. Not as impressive as some of the murmurations in Somerset but incredible how they all manage to fly in unison.
Love doing this, particularly on a lovely sunny morning. Interesting fact, this sand once used to form part of the infamous Doom Bar in Padstow. Other beers are available😁 #sandschoolgrading
One of the very few downsides of living in Cornwall is that the grass never really stops growing in the winter. First guests of the year in Bramble Lodge arrive in a couple of weeks, so while it's relatively dry, time for a quick short back and sides tidy-up.
With all of the recent storms we haven't had the drone up for some time. Used it today to look for the ponies currently placed on Rosenannon Downs by Cornwall Wildlife which we're helping to keep an eye on. Did a video pan from above the Downs and then across over to us.
Finally some sunshine for the animals to get out and enjoy. The goaties love a bit of freedom!
What a difference 24 hours makes.
Very unusual for Cornwall in November.
We have a family arriving today staying in Bramble Lodge for half term. What a beautiful day to arrive on.
Well this certainly is a bit of a Brucie Bonus for October - after the summer we had!
Caroline giving Murphy his Friday work-out.
