I am now taking bookings for September - 'sole use' bookings only at the moment. The rate is £100 per night for the whole bunkhouse, with a minimum stay of 3 nights. Guests need to bring sleeping bags /bedding. The bunkhouse is a cosy and well equipped space and is ideally situated for family /'bubble' holidays by the sea. The large apartment above the Bijou Borth Bunkhouse may be for sale on its own -if the right person pops up. 4/5 bedrooms -so a spacious family home by the sea. Ideally I'd like to sell the whole building in one go (bunkhouse and the flat) but I thought I'd test the water and see whether a nice person might fancy the top flat on its own. OIRO £156,000. After a lot of thought, I have decided to try opening for August but with some new ways of working. So, the plan is to welcome families /groups for visits of 3 - 6 nights, with a min. of 3 nights per booking. I am only going to accept single group /family bookings for this season - so if you book your family /group will have sole use of the whole space for the duration of your stay. You will need to bring ALL your own bedding and bed linen, as well as towels. That way I can keep the risk to Covid transmission down as low as possible. I may also refuse booking requests if people are teavelling from Covid hotspots - e.g. if a group wanted to come from Leicester this week I would probably ask them to either delay their trip or find alternative accommodation. I will, of course, ensure the bunkhouse is thoroughly cleaned between guests. :-)

The Bijou Borth Bunkhouse is for sale.
This is a four storey terraced house that has been divided into two spacious self-contained units. The upper part of the house is my home -a spacious 4 /5 bedroom maisonette. The lower part of the house has previously provided a 3 bedroom family home but is currently run as a small holiday business -The Bijou Borth Bunkhouse.
Brief details...
The bunkhouse has two bunkrooms with enough space for up to eight guests, accommodated in two bunkrooms. There are two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen and a large lounge with a woodburner. The bunkhouse also has oil central heating.

The family accommodation upstairs is a spacious maisonette. This part of the house has four bedrooms and a box room, two bathrooms, a kitchen and large lounge with a woodburner. The maisonette also has gas central heating.

This is a very large and highly adaptable building that can be used in a number of ways:

1. You could maintain the status-quo and run the small holiday business downstairs whilst living in the upstairs maisonette.

2. If you have a large family the whole house could be used as a very spacious single family home.

3. The house would make a great housing coop. The way the space has been set up lends itself well to varying degrees of communal /cooperative living.

4. Two families /extended family group could pool financial resources to buy the house and occupy one apartment each. This is how my sister and I originally bought the house twenty years ago. Our two families enjoyed the benefits of a degree of cooperative living whilst also having our own space.

5. A family wanting to look after an elderly relative could make their family home upstairs and use the ground-floor apartment as a 'granny flat.'

There is also a back yard. The house is yards from the beach and has views over the hills to the north. The train station is virtually next door and there is a bus stop at the top of the road.

Price -£310,995 ono.
