The Old Brewhouse, The Harbour, Boscastle is in a great location with own parking space and a garage. It is known locally as "The Pink House" , is built from the traditional local stone, dates from around the 16th century and has been converted to a spacious, centrally heated cottage retaining its original external appearance. It is set in a little cobbled road with the Valency River opposite, and the famous medieval harbour wall is no more than a five minute walk away. The harbour area is lovely at any time of the year, it can be sunny and tranquil, or bustling with visitors and boats, atmospheric or wild and exhilerating - never dull! Prices range from £375 - £1100 per week, sleeps 6 people, own parking for two cars, walled front garden plus small terrace. The price is fully inclusive - no extra charge for heating, electricity, use of bed linen etc, nor any extra charge for bringing dogs. The village and harbour have a very pleasant atmosphere of enjoyable outdoor spaces. Boscastle is a typical Cornish fishing village, and is considered to be one of Cornwall's most picturesque, with lots of quaint old cottages. Restaurants and pubs with good food are a few moments walk away for when you do not feel like catering for yourself whilst on holiday. There are also lovely craft shops and art galleries, a good baker,small supermarket, newsagent, and an outdoor clothing shop. The Cottage offers a double bedroom [king sized bed], and two twin bedrooms, lounge, kitchen dining room, bathroom with bath/shower and also a utility room with shower cubicle, WC and wash basin. All linen [except bath and beach towels] is provided. There is WiFi [BT Superfast fibre] a fridge, a freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, tumble dryer, washing machine, TV, DVD, small radio/CD player, telephone, plus books inlcuding novels and wild-life guides. There is no extra charge for heating and electricity, and as well as the oil-fired central heating, there is an open fire in the sitting room [logs or coal can be used]. At the front is a a walled garden with lawn, a patio with picnic bench, a garage with private parking space, and there is a small south facing terrace area at the rear of the cottage. Tintagel is close by, Rock, Padstow, Port Isaac, Bodmin Moor, Crackington Haven, Trebarwith Strand and Bude all within 15 miles, The Eden Project, Lanhydrock House and Garden, and Trago Mills not much further so there are plenty of lovely places to visit in the area. When visiting the cottage you can enjoy the sea, lovely wide sandy beaches, dramatic craggy coastline, secluded coves, nearby moorland and wonderful wooded river valleys at any time of the year. We accept payment by bank transfer, by cheque, by debit /credit card. We ask for a £50 per week deposit, with the balance due 4 weeks before holiday start date. We do not take a security deposit, but ask that guests replace any minor items [such as crockery etc] which get broken, so that the next guests are not inconvenienced. Well behaved dogs are welcome, at no extra charge.
