Holiday In Lakes, The Stables Holiday Apartments The Stables Bowness On Windermere is a 19th Century stable block now converted into quirky apartments All are perfect for a romantic break in the Lake District.

Located in Bowness on Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District, you will find The Stables. With free private parking, free WiFi and lots of quirky features in the 3 cosy self catering apartments, we aim to make you feel very welcome. Upstairs, there is The Round Window and The Stable Loft and downstairs is The Stable Nest. It is a short stroll to Lake Windermere and there are plenty of walkin

g, cycling and climbing routes right on your door step. Bowness is full of things to do with Beatrix Potter world, an old fashioned cinema, theatre and oodles of pubs, bars and restaurants all in easy walking distance. There is a train station a mile up the hill and a bus stop a minute away so we believe it is the perfect location to explore the wonderful and beautiful English Lake District.

I'll let you into a little secret. Over winter, we have been been very busy giving our apartments, The Stable Nest, The Stable Loft and The Round Window a freshen up for 2025.

If you are on our mailing list, you may have seen we had considered selling one or two, but in honesty, the market is tough with high interest rates so we have decided to invest by freshen them up for guests instead.

With the help of an interior designer, we are busy putting the final touches in place. If you have been before, expect brand new beds, new curtains, new blinds and soft furnishings and a new fresh but cosy look. I will share pictures as soon as we have them. Exciting times 💖
