The Stables Bowness On Windermere is a 19th Century stable block now converted into quirky apartments All are perfect for a romantic break in the Lake District.

Located in Bowness on Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District, you will find The Stables. With free private parking, free WiFi and lots of quirky features in the 3 cosy self catering apartments, we aim to make you feel very welcome. Upstairs, there is The Round Window and The Stable Loft and downstairs is The Stable Nest. It is a short stroll to Lake Windermere and there are plenty of walkin

g, cycling and climbing routes right on your door step. Bowness is full of things to do with Beatrix Potter world, an old fashioned cinema, theatre and oodles of pubs, bars and restaurants all in easy walking distance. There is a train station a mile up the hill and a bus stop a minute away so we believe it is the perfect location to explore the wonderful and beautiful English Lake District.

When are you visiting the Lake District? We have 3 cosy self catering apartments in Bowness on Windermere, all with parking and wifi. They are set back from the main road but a stone's throw from oodles of tempting cosy bars and restaurants, stunning walks, trips on the lake and all things that make Bowness on Windermere a great place to visit in 2025.

Once upon a time, The Stables self catering accommodation In Bowness on Windermere was a real stable building. (The clue is in the name) but apart from the horse of Beatrix Potters solicitor...., we are not aware of any famous visitors while it was a stable....but you never know.....
