Lake District Family Holiday Cottages offer two beautifully appointed, spacious holidays homes in the heart of the English Lake District, located by Lake Windermere in the village of Bowness-on-Windermere.
Our largest house is a spacious upside down home with 4 ground floor bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (shower en-suites), and a large comfortable living space on the 1st floor.
The large comfortable lounge has ample seating for 7 guests with wall mounted TV, a DVD player, CDs and a CD player and an IPod docker. There are board games, cards, books, toys and lots of useful leaflets offering information about for all the wonderful things to do and places to visit within the surrounding area.
Off the Lounge is a beautiful dining room which comfortably seats up to 7 plus a highchair for the little ones.
The ground floor bedrooms comprise of 3 x double guestrooms with en-suite shower rooms and a lovely single guestroom, also with an en-suite shower room. All the bedrooms have their own TV.
The well equipped kitchen with utility/cloak/wash room has everything you will need to cook enjoyable family meals, including a double oven, hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer and separate fridge, bread maker, mixer, lots of pots and pans and of course a washing machine and dishwasher.
There is ample parking for 4 cars and a separate patio area with table, chairs and a BBQ.
3 BED HOUSE
Our 2nd beautiful home with Lake views is also a spacious upside down home with 3 ground floor bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. and a large comfortable living space on the 1st floor.
The 1st floor modern spacious Lounge has a glimpse of Lake Windermere and is at set up for relaxing away the hours watching the SMART TV or enjoying a DVD. There are a pair of Creature Speakers for plugging in your music, or have some fun with the many board games, cards, books and toys for the younger children. There is also a large selection of tourist leaflets to choose from giving you ideas for all the excellent things to do in the area and places to visit. Just next door to the Lounge is a beautiful Dining Room which comfortably seats up to 6 plus a highchair for the little ones.
The well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar is a nice sociable space and has many of the gadgets you will find at home making cooking some family meals an easy job. There is a a double oven, ceramic hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer, a slow cooker, a steamer and lots of pots and pans and of course a washing machine and dishwasher. There is also an upstairs cloakroom so there is no need to go downstairs to spend a penny!
There is ample parking for 3 cars and a separate private, enclosed patio with chairs, table, parasol and BBQ. The bedrooms comprise of a large king size master with a large master bathroom which enjoys a walk in shower and corner bath; another king size guestroom with en-suite shower rooms and a lovely smaller double guestroom also with an en-suite shower room.

Handwash, toilet rolls, cling film, tin foil, washing up liquid, washing powder and cleaning products.
Tea, Coffee, Milk and Biscuits so you can have a well earned cuppa when you arrive!
