Top day recovering from the Doon Tha Brae Events Tarland Trails Enduro by guiding Callum and Simon around some of Ballater's best mountain biking trails. Already handy riders, we looked at body positioning, line choice and allowing our bodies and bikes to absorb trail features. What a great weekend doing bike-related things at ThriveBallater . Saturday was manning the stall and raising awareness and funds for Aboyne Bike Park new pump track project, and Sunday was coaching the fantastic Wolfpax Riders on Ballater's superb single track. What a brilliant weekend. 🚵👌😎

Glen Muick looking its absolute best. On a solo mission today, doing the 5 Munros round the Loch and descending by the waterfall by bike 😁🚴Techy descent and hard work finding flow in the lower section but that's the fun right!? Finished with a swim in Loch Muick. Great to watch a bachelor herd of stags rolling in the peat hags/mud to cool off - good to know it's not just my dog that does it! 😂

What a fantastic trip with 10 bikers from Aboyne Academy down to Glentress and Comrie Croft for activities week. Brilliant to see the love of biking these young people have, even in the challenging weather! 🌧️🚵 Many thanks to for the incredible accommodation and facilities, for saving us from riding uphill on Thursday, and to the accompanying staff for your hard work.

A special thank you goes to for generously donating their bike trailer to use for the week, making the trip possible and more affordable for all. Having supportive local businesses like Cycle Highlands makes it possible to provide first class experiences for our young people. 🌟

Already looking forward to the next trip..... 🚴⛰️

Lovely day on Sunday guiding from Invercauld over Lochnagar and down to Glen Muick for day 1 of the Ballater Walking Festival. A day spent on a compass bearing due to the low cloud, but the absolutely fantastic group made it a complete pleasure. Thanks to Fiona and Jeff for being top assistants! Well done everyone! 😁👏

Wonderful day delivering navigation training to the Ballater Walking Festival volunteers. We had a great morning session looking at planning and theory before putting it all into practice on the Pannanich hill during the afternoon. Well done to all! Looking forward to the festival!

Let the good times roll! 🚴 Great to be out with Johan and Ilkka today making the most of Chutney, Relish and Kickers in Aboyne. The aim of the day was to work on body positioning and skillsets required to ride 'natural' style trails. Thanks both for a super day, enjoy putting everything into practice!
