Few images from tonight, very clear so the Milky Way really stood out. Red/pink diffusion from the aurora with an arc and columns. Light winds and cold. Lots of meteors missed 6 or 7 on camera and only managed to capture one😊

Join us for one of our dark sky nights

What to Expect:

Each session will last approximately 2 hours. Starting with a short indoor introduction to stargazing, and how to start to identify constellations and night sky objects. We'll then venture outside. to walk in the darkness and view the nights sky.

Walking in the dark:

Our walks are suitable for all ages, most viewpoints will be reached within a short 20-30 minute hike. Please be aware that they will be undertaken at night on footpaths and uneven ground which may be more difficult for some.

Just a faint show last night and much later than forecast, but much clearer overhead so lots of stars out to make up for it.

Good chance if it's clear for seeing the aurora tonight. Sunset 6.45 dark by 7.45. Full moon will reduce the effect so find a dark spot outside the village lights.

Been a while since my last post, weather over the last month or so has been pretty poor with few clear nights, lots of cloud and little solar activity. Still cloudy last night but cleared enough later on to allow the aurora to show.

Another good night for being out, a few patchy clouds but lots of stars.

Cloudy and stormy skies for over a week have finally settled and tonight we were offered clear skies and great views over the village.

Sunday and Monday nights (7 & 8th January) are looking like the skies will be clear and offer the chance for some great views. If anyone has a gift voucher they'd like to use or would like to sign up for a last minute dark sky walk between 7pm and 9pm, DM me or drop an email to [email protected]
