What a storm that was! It felt like a hurricane blowing through 🌀
We lost part of the roof at Kekaroka Lodge and the front of the deck blew out! We lost power for a while too. My guests have relocated to lovely Gill Cottage at Tottergill Farm Cottages and repairs booked for Sunday!
Tomorrow will be better I think!

Please visit the link to check out the calendar events for this year :) Prices: Open group navigation skills days are back at just £40 per person (no min, max 6 in a group), private guiding is £50 per person (no min, max 6 in a group). Areas covered, Keswick, Borrowdale, Thirlmere for open group walks, will consider Ullswater and Grasmere in summer for private guiding. :)

Remember we don't do scary scrambles so there'll be NO Sharp Edge, Striding Edge, Swirral Edge, Jack's Rake, etc. :) I look forward to meeting new guests and welcoming back returning guests too! :D

Where are we located?

Kekaroka Lodge is located at Tottergill Farm Cottages, nestled on the fellside overlooking Castle Carrock reservoir with panoramic views of the Scottish Hills and Lakes District Mountains.

Tottergill Farm has 10 luxury holiday cottages of differing sizes from 1 bedroom to 4 bedroom sleeping 2-8 people. Dog friendly with secure gardens and 8 have hot tubs. If you’re thinking of bringing family or friends we can accommodate this.

Castle Carrock nestles in the Cumbrian countryside east of Carlisle at the foot of the Pennines. The village itself has an award winning pub, The Duke of Cumberland, delicious home cooked meals and local ales can be enjoyed. The village is surrounded by rolling countryside, the beauty spots of Talkin Tarn and Castle Carrock reservoir are both close by. The market town of Brampton is a 10 minute drive with shops, bars and restaurants, or head to the County capital Carlisle for a night at the cinema, shopping at the Lanes or explore the historical Castle and Cathedral. If historical sites are of interest Hadrian’s Wall and Lanercost Priory are both within a short drive. The Lake District is just over an hours drive away as is Newcastle with its cosmopolitan night life and the Metro Centre at Gateshead for all your designer brand shops.
