Castle Carrock reservoir is in front of Kekaroka Lodge. The view is stunning and a there is great walk around it which takes around 50 minutes with a pub stop at our fabulous local, The Duke Of Cumberland.

The reservoir is man made and was constructed in 1909 after years of planning, and from land that belonged to Tottergill Farm. Around 700 men worked on the project. Water is collected in Geltsdale, treated and pumped to Carlisle. It can supply 15 million litres of drinking water a day!

Here at Kekaroka Lodge we are supplied with spring water from Tottergill Spring Water. Even the hot tub and shower is lovely spring water!

The menu will be sent out with booking confirmations and can be ordered at the time of booking or a minimum a week before. This delicious food will then be in the lodge for your arrival

Let’s talk Ethical Pricing
Kekaroka Lodge is the same price all year other than Christmas and New Year. It’s easier and fairer that way. I don’t increase the pricing during bank holidays or school holidays
If I have gaps sometimes I drop the pricing so I usually message enquiries directly.
I am hoping to get a visible calendar soon for you to check availability directly, it’s been so busy I haven’t had chance! 😬
Returning guests get 10% discount
It’s cheaper to book directly and save booking fees.
If the booking is within 3 months full payment is made, otherwise bookings can be held with £100 deposit then full payment 3 months before.

We have new throws this week. This cheeky monkey, Bruno, sneaked the throw off the bed while his mum and dad were sleeping… dragged it into the lounge and ate it!!
Everyone says the bed is super comfy and they have the best nights sleep 💤 we sit on the edge of the dark sky park so there is little light pollution and it’s very quiet 🤫
