Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Bush Nook, Brampton, Cumbria, sleeps 18-23 in 11 en-suite bedrooms.
Experience the wildness, freshness, culture and two millennia of history.
The farmstead was originally built in 1760 with further additions in 1811 and 1849. The house and its outbuildings are stone built in traditional farmhouse style and, like most properties in the area, were built using stones "borrowed" from the nearby Hadrian's Wall fortifications.
Bush Nook offers comfortably furnished self catering group accommodation, over two adjacent buildings, Bush Nook House and The Barn. There are kitchen facilities and dining in both units to accommodate a mix of family size, age or group requirements.
There is accommodation for up to 21 people, 16 in the main house and 5 in The Barn in a mix of double, twin and single rooms, all but one having full en suite or adjoining bathroom facilities.
The rooms in our former hay loft have open beamed vaulted ceilings whilst the rooms in our hay barn annex have vaulted open beamed ceilings with a full bath and shower en suite facility.
All of our rooms have crisp white cotton bedding, freeview digital television, hair dryer and hot drink making facilities as well as a supply of toiletries, fluffy towels for your personal use.
Bush Nook is situated within the wonderful Hadrian’s Wall countryside, overlooking Birdoswald Roman Fort and the River Irthing Valley at Gilsland, with panoramic views east to Northumberland National Park, Kielder Forest and north over the “debatable land” of Reiver history to the Scottish Lowlands.
The area around Bush Nook has numerous opportunities to be active, with excellent walking and cycling routes to suit all abilities. We are able, with a number of local businesses, to facilitate a full program of activities; please enquire when booking.
Alternatively, the openness of the countryside, peacefulness, and fresh air enable those wishing to have a restful holiday to be equally contented.
