The market town of Brampton is just 2 miles with a good range of shops, whilst the Border City of Carlisle is just 10 miles. There are many footpaths including Gelt Woods and Talkin Tarn Country Park just 3 miles where you can enjoy walking, running, sailing, rowing, an ice cream or bite to eat in the tea room or enjoy a picnic by the tranquil shores of the tarn. To relax at the end of the day there is also the availability of shared hot tub use (at £40/week or £20/short break) - perfect for easing those tired muscles after a day exploring. A wonderful place for a Cumbrian break at any time of year.
