Pickwell Manor is set in a beautiful countryside location within six acres of garden and grounds. The grounds offer glorious views over the surrounding Devon countryside to the nearby coast, less than half a mile away. The Manor is just five minutes’ drive from the golden sands of Putsborough beach and the village of Georgeham with its quaint pubs, village shop and Post Office. If you prefer to get out into the wild, there is a scenic 20- minute walk down through fields to the beach.
The property has been thoughtfully divided into ten apartments which retain the building’s historic features at the same time as offering beautiful and well-equipped holiday accommodation.
The Manor house itself is an active, well-loved private family home with access by appointment only.
Pickwell Manor is owned by two families – The Bakers and the Elliotts. Both families have just moved off site having run Pickwell for the last 9 years. Simon and Julia Hawthorne came on board as live in managers early 2019.

In addition to holidays, Pickwell Manor is also used on a not-for-profit basis to support individuals and charities to help fulfil their dreams and make a difference.

We’ve always wanted to make it as easy as possible for everyone who stays with us to enjoy the woods and feel connected to the landscape as much as possible. It’s why we created the family nature trail, a firepit and tyre swings for children. We even moved the games room into the grounds...
