Huge congratulations to Fay and Kath who enjoyed a gorgeous winter wedding when they got married in The Old Chapel in late January. We especially loved their cork people guest book, the s’mores and sparklers, and the mobile sauna for the Sunday after the wedding. We love a late autumn wedding at Ash Barton, as there’s just something so glorious about the golden colours and the cool but sunny days. Suzanne and Oil were married in the old chapel back in November before partying all night in the big party barn. And they even managed to sneak off to the beach for some stunning shots too. Many congratulations to the both of them.

We love an international wedding at Ash Barton. It’s the perfect place to gather friends and family from all round the world and enjoy a long weekend of celebrations.

Which is exactly what Megan (from Wales) and Cruz (from California) did when they got married under the old oak tree at Ash Barton in July. They met as scuba instructors on the Island of Roatan in Honduras, and were married by their close friend Colleen, who double dated with them on their first date!

“Where to even start with how INCREDIBLE our day was, how beautiful Ash Barton is and how helpful the staff were who helped to make the day run smoothly.

“It was a very international wedding. Out of the 90 day guests we had, 46 were international guests who flew in from around the world! For most of them it was their very first time in the UK! I’m a mural artist and the majority of the decorations I made myself, like the totem pole with all the countries on it, the name tags, the welcome sign and the seating charts. And even the ceremony flowers that were hung on the pagoda under the oak tree."

Ellie and Liam got married in the old chapel at Ash Barton in May and enjoyed four days of celebrations and gorgeous weather too. Can we just mention the Germanic log cutting ceremony, the eagle, and mum playing the bagpipes! Amazing!

Our Story

Spacious 12/13 bedroom manor house high above the North Devon countryside with views to the sea in the distance. Most rooms can be arranged as either double, twin, bunks or family style. In addition there are huge party barn and games barns with indoor heated swimming pool and 25 acres of grounds including extensive woods. The walled garden is adjacent to the main house. The property is superbly internally equipped as well as enjoying a full range of garden furniture, BBQ etc. The spacious light interiors, a range of media equipment and well equipped kitchens and bathrooms make this an easy place to come together with friends or family. It is a warm house, with constant hot water, crisp cotton bed linen, deep sofas and log burning stoves in the living areas.
