Know the rules to help speed you through Security search

We’re committed to processing passengers as quickly as possible. Please give yourself additional time for security processing, particularly during peak times and remember to check your hand luggage beforehand.

Liquid Restrictions: The current maximum size of each liquid container is 100ml. Keep your liquids in your bag (there's no need to use a clear plastic bag).

Be security ready:
All cabin baggage will be X-ray screened.
Empty your pockets and put coins, keys, mobile phones and other small items in your hand baggage.
Keep laptops and electrical items, such as hairdryers, inside your hand baggage.
Place outer clothing inside the tray, and put your bag on top.
We may ask you to take off shoes and belts.
Keep any liquids (up to max 100ml per container) inside your bag.
Metal drinks bottles need to be taken through empty.
Pushchairs are subject to hand search.
Wheelchairs and walking aids will be thoroughly searched.

Taking liquids through security:
There’s a 100ml max rule for each liquid container you take in your hand luggage.
Keep all your 100ml containers inside your hand baggage.
Bear in mind that all gels, pastes, lotions, liquid-solid mixtures (including food) and pressurised containers also count as liquids.
You’re allowed to take the medicines with you that you need to sustain you for your flight, plus a reasonable amount to cover any delays.
Baggage rules vary between airlines and we recommend checking before arriving at the airport to make sure your hand baggage including liquids is within your airline’s size and weight limits.

Customers are reminded to check the hand baggage requirements of their departing airport when returning, as these regulations may differ from the UK.
