The Champagne Pools 🍾

Have you ever been? ❤️ We hit these gorgeous pools just over two weeks ago in Australia 🇦🇺 30 degree heat is a little different from what we have in Wales right now!

This little corner of the internet gets forgotten about when the cottage is bustling. Coming into colder season, we have some weekend availability 🎄

Did you know we are based in the Brecon Beacons Nantional Park?

This view is one I look at every day, and is only 5 minutes on foot from the door of the cottage. We are the perfect place to stay if your looking to explore with family, friends or your four-legged friends.

Bethany 🐖

If you have stayed with us you would have met our pet pigs! We have three!! The three not so little pigs! This gorgeous one here is Bethany. We also have Babe and Flash!

They are very loved and very well fed ❤ and greeted by every villager walking past!

What should be next on our pet list? We have ticked off pigs, goats, chickens and dogs . . . .

WINTER ❄

It's been pretty chilly in Brecon lately. The first time the cottage has seen a dusting of snow ❄

The perfect time to book your weekend and curl up on the sofas in front of the fire and keep those toes warm after a walk around one of our beautiful local mountains.

I came into 2023 wanting to see new places and experience more with my family & Friends. We made a list of where and what we would like to accomplish this year and we are slowly ticking the boxes.

Dear Summer, I miss you 🌞

The weather so far this year, has left a lot to be desired! Where is all the glorious winter sun?

The cottage is booked out every weekend through January and February! Our next available weekends are in March when the sun will not set until 6pm!! The start of brighter nights and warmer days!

Hands up if your excited for Spring & Summer?

WINTER ❄

I do love it when the sun rises late in the morning, this view is something I will never get used to.

We had such a fantastic year in 2022, meeting so many amazing guests. Who wouldn't want to wake up surrounded by fields (and a few goats 🐐) and beautiful view.

It's been a while since we last posted! What a crazy summer of meeting amazing guests and their four legged friends! We have been blessed with back to back visitors and thoroughly enjoyed every minute! 🙌

April 😊

Where has this year gone? April is my favourite month, we should start kidding here in the next few weeks. Our guests can expect to help feed and cuddle all the new 🐐

How gorgeous is this view? This is from the top of the Allt. One of the many walks you can do directly from the doorstep of the cottage. Taken at sunset last week 🌞

Spring 🌞

What a start to spring we have had this week! My morning walks have been met with beautiful pink skies and sunrises. There is warmth in the air.

We will start kidding here soon. Our guests staying in April can expect to see the goats in the fields and give a hand feeding any new kids that come our way 🐐

I miss the sun, I crave it. So when it appears it gives me all the good endorphins! Not a bad view from the field above the cottage.

How can we be in March already?

A month full of celebrations. The beginnings of spring, eating of Welsh cakes, pancakes & Birthday cakes and the start of lighter days!

Our Eisteddfodd pieces have been complete and our Welsh Jerseys are sitting ready to be worn. Have a great day all. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Happy Valentines Day ❤

Hi 🤗🤗 I'm Lowrie and this is Matthew! We are the faces behind Ty Carreg. We have been married nearly 8 years and together for 12! We have two children, a dog, 21 chickens, 4 pigs and 18 goats.

When you come to stay at Ty Carreg you will see it's been made with love and care by us (mostly Matthew). We put everything into making the cottage somewhere you would want to come back to year after year.
