As the summer holidays draw to a close we would like to thank everyone that chose Vale Farm for their summer holiday. We have met so many people, 41 families and their four legged friends- it has been an absolute pleasure.
Here's a few photos of our summer in and around Brecon- we have found lots of places to visit, but there's always so much more!

A big welcome to the last of our summer holiday guests this weekend. Our last guests were here for 2 weeks so it's been a busy day getting everything turned over again ready for the weekend.

We've had several guests enjoy treatments from the wonderful Aggie from Agnieszka's Mobile Massage and Beauty Therapy . If you feel like treating yourself to a treatment whilst staying at Vale Farm, please get in touch with Aggie. It is best to book in advance.
Aggie is able to set up in any of the cottages or if it is available and several of you would like a treatment, we can set up in the function room.
We are back from a lovely few days in sunny Buckinghamshire and have come home to see that Rowan is fully booked for August 2025. That means there's only 2 weeks available at the start of the summer holidays for Rowan and 3 weeks available for Oak.

Walnut - sleeps 4 in two bedrooms
Chestnut and Hornbeam- sleep 4 in each, interlinking balconies allow for families to easily move amongst the cottages. Perfect for 2 families or groups of friends to holiday together.
π€Άπ»Pool is open Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Cottages will have a Christmas π and wreath on the front door (unless you are escaping Christmas!!)

The new double shower in the main bathroom in the farmhouse has now been installed (don't worry it will be clean but we are still in a building site!) this bathroom will be finished with a beautiful roll top bath with traditional fittings, matching sink and toilet.
This bathroom will be the ultimate place to chill out with an awesome view from the tub too πͺ
Enquiries for Vale Farmhouse are being taken now with bookings being taken from 1st March 2025 with a 25% deposit.
I'm away with my girls this week to see some family and friends- living 3 hours away from any family is really tough especially during the holidays. I'm grateful that this week's guests are all happy and settled in so that I could sneak off for a couple of days leaving Tom to do the pool and hot tub checks.

A huge welcome to this weeks summer holiday guests who are here after many many visits and are staying for two weeks. Fingers crossed for lovely weather for two weeks too.
Today I ordered my 2025 diary to start getting all the bookings organised for next year... Anyone else get stupidly excited over new diaries and stationery? Once a teacher.... Highlighters at the ready!
Bookings for 2025 are open on the website, the bigger cottages are booking up fast for weekends in particular.

We have been fully booked for the summer holidays and now we are over half way through (not that I'm counting down to the start of school or anything π₯΄π₯΄π₯΄) we are starting to get lots of bookings for September.
We still have availability for the start of September, although it is limited.

Absolutely gutted I missed these but thank you Jon for capturing the northern lights, milky way and shooting stars and sharing the photos. They're incredible.
We are so lucky to live on the edge of the dark sky reserve, winter star gazing is brilliant here. If you're a budding astrophotographer we have the perfect accommodation for you.

Bookings are coming in already, especially for the bigger cottages. Our guests over the last 3 weeks have loved exploring the local area and beyond - beaches, rivers, waterfalls, mountains, canals, caves, towns and villages... So much to do and see for all the family.

We have decided to open up Wild Cherry for 1 night stays from September on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights as a trial run.
Perfect for those on business or those just stopping on the way somewhere else.
Wild Cherry π sleeps 4 but is the perfect size for a solo traveller, couple or two friends.
The calendar has been updated on our website to take 1 night stays from September.

π‘ Farm House update π‘ I've had a few messages asking if the house will be ready for the summer- sadly it isn't going to be ready. The ultimate aim would be October half term but realistically it is likely to be Christmas.
I don't think I talk enough about our lovely pool and hot tub. It takes a huge amount of work to keep this little bit of the farm clean, tidy and safe for people to use, however I'm very proud of this pool- not only is it something fun for people to do on holiday but whilst the cottages are quiet we let members of the public use it too. We've had families come to use the pool with children with additional needs, new parents and their babies, people recovering from injury or surgery, people who need some time out and self care or families that just don't like the busy leisure centre. When visiting us we ask that the pool is treated with respect and to help us keep it clean and safe. If you're local to us and would like use the pool please follow The Pool at Vale Farm ππ»ββοΈ

Did you know that Vale Farm Cottages are on the edge of one of the Dark Sky Reserves in the UK? The Brecon Beacons is one of 5 International Dark Sky Reserves too. I've always had an interest in stars and was so excited to have captured a shooting star tonight.
