Well that was a whole bunch of loveliness to start this Crimbo month. Thank you to everyone that came along and filled Crai Valley with elves and reindeers this morning at the Crai Valley Reindeer run. The weather held off just enough. And some sterling performances were put in running around the loop. Whether you ran,bimbled or sauntered diolch. 🙏🙏🙏 We are fiercely fundraising for Velindre Cancer Centre Fundraising and you lovely bunch helped us to gather just under £500 today . Thank you. There were lots of smiles and giggles. In a world that sometimes seems lacking in humanity it’s wonderful to see our lovely community come together and help. So enjoy your Sunday you bunch of nutters and a huge huge thanks .

It’s official Crimbo count down starts tomorrow. Sunday 1st December. My advent calendar is poised and ready to launch. So why not mosey on over to the gorgeous Crai valley where the air is clear and the Fans are twinkling and join in a wonderful community event. Yes! You can run round all guns blazing but THIS IS NOT a race! It’s a fun run a chance to wander,saunter,bimble round this wonderful loop of the village . It’s all on road and tarmac. There are a couple of undulations! (Runners code for hill) . Get your Xmoose fancy dress on. Sashay like Santa. Rumba like a reindeer. Shake done your inner elf and come join us for some fresh air and fun. All whilst raising much needed funds for Velindre Cancer Centre Fundraising. Never have cancer services needed our help more. Velindre Cancer Centre is a beacon of light wrapping a huge cwtch around patients and their families.

There will be mulled wine! There will be mince pies! There will be tea and coffee. (PLEASE BRING CASH)

It’s beginning to look a lot like !!!!!! I KNOW! It’s too soon. But hey now! It’s December 1st this Sunday. And look what’s happening in Crai. A wonderful community wander around the glorious Crai Valley. With views of the Camarthen Fans as you go!!! Sure you can run this undulating ( runners parlance for hills!) 3.1 mile rural route. It’s all on a decent road surface. But listen. Just shake down your mental elf and come on over. You can walk,amble or saunter like Santa. 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻. Take in the fresh air of this beautiful valley ( sun dances please !!!! No rain allowed) There will be a medal for every one. There will be mulled wine and mincepies. There will be Christmas tunes a plenty and a prize for the best fancy dress ..

And what’s even better is that all proceeds of this cwtchy community event will go to Velindre Cancer Centre Fundraising the worthiest of causes. 1 in 2 of us will face this dreaded disease and Velindre Cancer Centre is a beacon of light leading the way in research . Rhiannon Thomas and I have been fundraising for well over a year now for this wonderful place. I know times are hard. But we are heading off to San Francisco next May with to swim over 2 miles from Alcatraz Island into the bay. There’s a reason that no prisoners ever escaped!!!! 😳😳😳😳😳. So if you can support us that would mean the world. Diolch lovelies. See you Sunday.

We love the wonderful warm hues of winter settling down here in the valley. The low sun in the sky casts a wonderful ochre light over the hills. It’s truly beautiful ❤️

Thank you Julie Davies and Heidi Davies for a wonderful treat celebrating the end of another successful summer for Team Crai Valley. Teamwork is everything and it was wonderful to sit down and relax together with a glorious afternoon tea. Diolch Summer 2024. Here’s to an even busier 2025. ❤️🌟🌟

The evening kicks off at 19:00 at Zeera’s Brecon for an incredible evening with a feast of a selecon of curry dishes to suit everyone’s tastes and a raffle draw with not to be missed prizes.

Here at Crai Valley Eco Lodges we are always on the go. Never a dull moment . Always moving. Next month Team Crai are taking on an arduous task Race The Sun - Dawn to Dusk Triple Challenge.

We will complete a triple discipline event in one day comprising cycling,hiking and kayaking all before the sun sets. This is TOUGH make no mistake. WHY? I hear you cry! To raise money for Action Medical Research a leading UK charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people. Action have been funding medical breakthroughs for 70 years now and have helped to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. They are now driving forward children's research, including in the fight against COVID-19 and rare diseases. By supporting Action Medical Research, you are helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.

Teams of four or two are taking part in this extremely tough dawn to dusk event where they will cycle 35 miles to climb 1000m around the incredible winding lanes of the Brecons , navigate a 2-mile canoe course, and finally summit of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons with an altitude of 886m, on an 8 mile round trip to raise money for this incredible cause.

With your help, we're determined to make a real difference to children's lives. Today we were busy fundraising Morrisons Brecon raising awareness and funds for this wonderful cause. A huge shout out to the staff and customers for their support.
