The Arches Self Catering Accommodation is located in a peaceful elevated position, a scenic 5 minute walk to the village of Talybont-on-Usk, within the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is a fabulous place to relax and simply enjoy the amazing surrounding scenery but it is also fantastically located for the more active visitor as there are numerous walking trails and mountain biking routes right on

the doorstep. The property is called 'The Arches' as the bedrooms are located under the arches in the lower ground floor of Baileys Barn. The Arches/Bedrooms are open plan to the living area which has 2 arched windows and 1 arched doorway opening onto a patio area which has magnificent views over the countryside.

During January we have been busy brightening up The Arches to make our guests stay just a little bit more comfy, gorgeous & relaxing. This includes a new vibrant paint colour scheme, new 100% cotton Ora Kiely bedding & new blackout curtains.

We were thrilled to be included in The Brecon Beacons National Park post recently of great places for families to stay. Located with wonderful views inside or out, why not get out and about and enjoy some fresh air with all the family?

Choosing somewhere in the Bannau Brycheiniog that keeps the children occupied and the adults happy can be a tough ask but with the variety of accommodations available in the park along with family friendly attractions we can guarantee a visit that covers all the bases. Lovely frosty bright day today, so spectacular clear views. It has been a joy being in The Arches today getting prepared ready for the arrival of today’s guests. Such a great time to visit, especially as it is toasty and warm in The Arches with its underfoot heating.

Yesterday we were putting the finishing touches to our fun zone when our guests arrived.
Come rain or shine guests can make it whatever they want it to be.
Whether they want to play a board game, get on the exercise bike while soaking up the view, or just sit and chillax, the choice is theirs.

We haven’t posted for a while, but we have been busy over the Winter & Spring behind the scenes creating a fun zone for guests whether rain 🌧or shine 🌞. It’s light, bright and has a fabulous view. Can you guess what it is?

We thought our accommodation was the star attraction in Talybont, but the piglets have upstaged us and been the star attraction for all of the surrounding holiday accommodation this Summer. Thank you to everyone who has visited us through an amazing long Summer. Roll on Autumn and Winter! We can’t wait to meet all our visitors who love this area as much as we do.

So lovely to welcome English visitors back to stay again this weekend & what a glorious weekend it has been, with the sun shining all weekend & hardly a cloud in the sky. They have even taken some sunburn home with them! 😎

Finally some positive news, as yesterday the Welsh government announced that as long as the public health conditions continue to improve, from 27 March self-contained holiday accommodation will re-open for one household for people who live in Wales.
We currently have availability from the weekend of the 27th March, so come on you Welsh, get out and enjoy your beautiful countryside. We are also excited that hopefully from 12th April we will be able to welcome people who live in other parts of the UK too. So hang on in there everyone and stay positive as you will shortly will be able to get on those sunbeds, relax and breathe in our lovely countryside air.
