Our guests will find complementary Tytanglwyst milk and butter in the fridge on arrival. Plenty more available during your stay.
Cottage guests can also watch the milking and help feed the baby calves. Be prepared! Bring wellies!

We have had lots of enquiries this week regarding what we feed our lovely cows here at Ty Tanglwyst Farm.
A feed additive called Bovaer gained a lot of media attention this week. We hadn't heard of this before and we do not feed it to our cows. Sustainability is really important to us and we are doing a huge amount to ensure our milk, cream and butter is as sustainable as it can be. The single most important way of doing this is by reducing food miles! Our milk is pasteurised and bottled here on the farm and delivered locally, nearly all, within a 30 minute journey from our farm to local customers, both domestic and commercial. If you want to join us on the journey to better sustainability get in touch and sign your home or business up to one of our local milk rounds. You can get your milk, fresh and direct from our family farm. We hold farm open days every year which allow our loyal customers to visit our farm, meet the lovely cows and see exactly how we produce your milk. We are big fans of natural methods and regenerative farming techniques to ensure our milk is super sustainable. Some of the highlights of this include growing legume forage crops, having bee hives in our ancient oak woodland, having solar panels on the roof of our dairy and cow barn, using minimum tillage cultivations and hosting local of schools and community groups for farm visits. If this sounds like a good way of doing things then please get in touch and support our farm. And our milk, cream and butter all tastes great! Way better than the milk in the supermarkets (in our opinion)!
