We recently transformed the former Aberconway library, Cardiff University located within the Aberconway Business School by converting it to a student resource centre with four zones.
- Digital Information Zone
- Doctoral Studies Zone
- Student Entrepreneurship Zone
- Creative Learning and Teaching Zone

One of the key requirements by the business school was for the project to identify opportunities for improved sustainability which provided a positive community benefit. Recognising the procurement of furniture was an area where this aspiration could be addressed in the use of a ‘circular economy’ approach to procurement.

We’re delighted with these high-quality student study spaces which integrate new, reused, and reupholstered products from across campus.

Closing the Loop project.

We are pleased to share this recently completed project for ‘the lcv group’ - one of the UK’s largest suppliers of vehicles to businesses, we provided a combination of brand new and surplus furniture for their new premises at Riverside House in the heart of Swansea SA1. A fantastic local project to be involved with from concept to reality – our design team planned the workspaces which support well-being and flexible ways of working. A mix of new and furniture from our Eco Shop and Showroom were integrated into the project.

Closing the Loop project.

We were delighted to be appointed for this seating refurbishment project for Y Lle a collaborative workspace for Cardiff University’s Welsh-speaking community - of all levels of ability. The project showcases our in-house ‘Circular Furniture Services.’ Cardiff University were enthusiastic throughout the process, as well as reducing their carbon impact supporting the local economy was high on their agenda. All components were sourced within a 6-mile radius and 100% wool fabric was selected from Melin Tregwynt, a manufacturer since 1841, employing over 40 local people - inspired by Welsh tradition.
