Autumn has got to be one of my favourite times of year for angling. Not only does the landscape put on its colourful display, but the cooling temperatures and much needed rain in our rivers sends the fish into a feeding frenzy. The problem is what to fish for...there is almost too much choice! You could try for some iconic autumn perch, maybe that special specimen roach or carp you have been dreaming of, get on the reservoirs for the trout feeding in earnest on the fry, or tackle the river for barbel while they are at their biggest and most hungry after the autumn rains.

Another great week staying at Severn Valley View, everything you could want & need from a rural retreat & getaway in an excellent location, thanks again to Adrian, reliable, trustworthy & a genuinely nice chap.

As an added bonus, despite a high & fast flowing river, the weather was so mild, I caught my first December Barbel including this
11 lb+ fish caught near the Ship Inn.

Would highly recommend staying here, wether your an Angler or not, it’s worth it for the tranquility & idilic location alone.
